ChatGPT is amazing how it can create full resources within 5 mins. I've given it a template and structure to follow, and it comes up with a full booklet exactly how I want it.

Does anyone teach Edexcel Level 2 Extended Maths certificate? I'm thinking to create a booklet (similar to the AQA L2 FM one I did years ago) that properly prepares pupils for Y12 whilst also stretching them for GCSEs to get Grade 8/ 9. #ALevelMaths

For AQA #ALevelMaths, does by parts come up where you have the infinite loop, i.e., something with a e^xsinx for example @ecrmaths.bsky.social

The 2025 A Level paper feels as though the we're getting GCSE Maths vector problems.

010

Tayyub Majeed @tayyubmajeed.bsky.social · 15/09/2025

I feel the vectors in GCSE are much more complicated than vectors in A Level Maths.

I was tutoring an A Level pupil, and he was asking me how to do something on the CG50. It's so complicated to use! The CG100 is much more staightforward.

Busy day recording videos for the CG100. Completed the graph and table section. Now need to move onto the conics and 3d graphs section. So many good features on this calculator, and it's more straight forward than using those F1-F6 keys. The tool key makes life easier.

Does anyone have a list of graphs that students should know as part of their course in A Level maths and further maths? E.g., for maths: y= x^2, y=sinx, etc. for further maths: r=a+cosθ, y=sinhx, etc.? #ALevelMaths #FurtherMaths

Have recorded so many CG 100 videos but just on the calculate tab. But there's so many features I've yet to use and discover. This is an excellent calculator that's better than the CG 50 in my opinion. It's so straight forward to use.

020

Tayyub Majeed @tayyubmajeed.bsky.social · 22/06/2025

Thus far, I find the CG100 quite a simple to use calculator (much more straight forward than the CG50 and in fact, better). However, I cannot understand the need for having an "e^n" button, why not just have an "e" button instead? What's the benefit? It's annoying writing out "e^1".

All these new calculators and technology, I've come to the conclusion, the fx991ex was the best thing out there. That was a game changer, the rest of the calculators are pretty crap compared to this beast.
