The fourth story in my next zine took place almost 20 years ago, so it's really hard to recall details. I've totally forgotten this person's face, so I'm just leaning into the general impression I recall. She was cool. I wish I remembered her better. #art #illustration #sketch #drawing #zines

I have a longer-form story that I've wanted to do for a while. I'm not sure whether it'll be a webcomic, graphic novel, or something else, but whatever it is, it's gonna be somewhat lengthy; so I'm trying to figure out a simpler style to work in for it. #art #comics #graphicnovel #illustration

Finally (last update for now I swear) is that I've found I REALLY like the look of one-color lineart with one Copic to color/shade... it just pulls it together in a way that I struggle to achieve normally. I love these. <3 #art #illustration #copicmarkers #limitedpalette

"Mail For You" is a short comic that'll be in my upcoming short-comic anthology "Small Mercies: Five Times It Mattered." All the stories are true ones from my own life, of times when people took risks to help each other, and it actually made a difference. #zine #zines #art

A comic page illustrated with black lineart and green shading. It shows a person with a cane standing in a doorway, holding something. The comic title at the top reads "Mail for you." I didn't know her name, but she'd always smiled and waved to me when I passed her on my way out to work."

This obsession with hyperrealism is honestly so tiring. People just assume that more realistic graphics = progress, and it’s such a limited way of looking at things. When everything is chasing the exact same “realistic” look it all starts to blend together
