@btp I don't get the point of either. Isn't this what multiple windows are for? Seems like a stopgap for "my window manager doesn't handle tiling" rather than a solution for something actually missing in a browser. Maybe I'm just missing something.

Just some geometry nodes playing from yesterday. The small spheres are points from a icosphere with their position multiplied with a sine wave over time (phase offset randomly). The big sphere uses a geometry proximity node and a float curve to calculate displacement and pass data to the shader […]

Who at StackOverflow thought this was a good idea?
A screenshot from StackOverflow showing a comment. The relative date on the comment shows "Over a year ago", but when I hover over it, it says "2014-04-16T14:27:33.843Z", which is over twelve years ago.

@btp "lines of code" is a harder metric to estimate than machine instructions. Given that there are 5 billlion smart phones in use, and those are usually clocked at at least 1Ghz across multiple cores for a possible combined execution of 5 pentillion instructions per second when at full tilt […]

Early morning musings. #writing #poetry
A quote from Amber Herbert: "There’s a strangeness that lingers in the quiet of an empty house. The cracks and groans of the foundation’s bones. The hiss of a radiator. The sigh of an electric kettle as it simmers. When everyone else has left, it’s easy to remove ourselves from the bodies we inhabit and take up space in the bowels of our homestead—reveling in the aging structure of another container, once removed from the aches and dysfunctions of our own."

A Blender compositor node graph, showing the input image going to a RGB to BW node, and for each pixel, comparing if that is greater than a Noise Texture output (with a scale of 10k). The output of the comparison is piped into a Mix Color node factor, switching between blue and white, and then that output feeds into the image output. The Noise Texture Factor is attached to a Viewer node to show a shockingly regular texture in the backdrop.
