One of the jets in this photo: a $55M+ Global 6500 registered to an entity of Dick's Sporting Goods, whose billionaire chairman lives outside Pittsburgh and attended the game. Flew in from Pittsburgh Thursday night. Left Sunday, hours after the final whistle. 13 tons of CO₂.

The World Cup final drew Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Tom Cruise, the Beckhams — quite the star-studded crowd. Getting the richest of the rich there took ~3,000 private jet flights. Then, the tarmac emptied the second the whistle blew. Private jet pollution spiked to 𝟯× normal.
