Pushed down until that defined visage twisting around is a long, smooth lump, then a small, rounded bump that disappears when he presses on it with a paw. All that prey reduced from squirming, lively bulges to a modest extra heft on his haunches.. heft that is going to be burned off with a good run~

A few days winding through his guts, shifting left and right down that underbelly, maybe even caressing that slowly softening visage of prey with a big forepaw as it shifts further.. squeezing a second down at record speed, helping them along until there's enough weight to make that belly hammock..~
