Rust stain in a glass bowl resisted everything I tried. Was considering rust remover which is extremely corrosive and toxic, so have to equip safety gear to use. Instead, I tried 'Bar Keepers Friend' which I use to clean my stainless kitchen sink [contains Oxalic Acid]. Worked impressively easy!

Struggled to finish latest Reacher series. 😞 The plot of a former investigator was largely replaced by endless gratuitous combat scenes. 🥱 Some of which the character isn't even part of. Could explain rising popularity among young men, but not a direction that will retain me.

I have a real hate for the YouTube ad of a man knocking the glasses off a woman (to promote "better" glasses). That's assault! 😡 Don't normalize it! Reported every time for VIOLENT assault and MISLEADING ai generated ad that doesn't accurately portray the product.

I really should read my corporate e-mails more often. 46 in my 'All' folder (e-mails not directly addressed to me). Notably the one that mentions 50% U.S. tariffs on Canada apply to all our products, and the U.S. is our biggest customer. I expect to see e-mails soon about staff cuts. 😱

My mini-PC noisier than it used to. Finally got around to blowing dust out of it. Was running at 70°C / 158°F with fan, now running at 47°C / 117°F. Not much dust came out, but fan has returned to being quiet. ☺️ Used electric Air Blaster / Duster. Don't over-spin fans! Ear protection required.

Finally realized I've been fighting an infection for a few days. "Am I sick?" Yup. Low-grade fever. 🤒 Took some meds and now I feel perfect. Wasted Saturday feeling out of sorts, when it was so simple to solve. 😞

Playing EVE Online since 2009. It's known for players being cutthroat. Was just threatened & offered survival if I paid a ransom. Then "Helpful Player" (alt of the extortionist) offered to assist ... in a form that would make it easier to destroy my helpless freighter. Declined both. Survived.

🤬🤬🤬 Driving home, entrance to my street blocked by construction. Slowly weaving through cones at night, climbed center island (traffic re-rerouted to opposite lane). Damaged both driver-side rims, took BIG chunk out of the sidewall of front tire. Not flat ... yet. Wheel bearing & CV could be $$.

Taxes are high anxiety for me; phobia of making mistakes. Hence I'm behind on submitting. Not a huge issue, as I always get a rebate. Phobia triggered: I didn't realize that the government paid interest on the rebate, and it has to be claimed in the year received. Have to re-do several years.

Tip: Cooked plain white rice is not supposed to smell sour nor stink-up your entire place! 🤢🤮 [caused by bacteria] Store didn't have usual brand of parboiled rice, so purchased 8 kg / 17.6 lb bag name-brand. Packed March 2026. Best before 2028. Putting in compostable bags and discarding.
