⠀⠀ Shaylee thought about his offer, she didn’t see why not. She smiled a bit. “I would love that actually.” She then would proceed to stand up from the table. She would dust off her clothes and fix them as well. “Let’s go.” ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ Shaylee would let out a small laugh, she then sighed and smiled a little. “Thanks, I appreciate that. . . Maybe I just need some fresh air.” She shrugged, she was still pretty surprised at how kind he was being. She was still a bit of a stranger after all. ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ Shaylee would freeze for a moment at the gesture. She wasn’t used to such care. “Umm, I’ll be okay. . . I think I’m just seeing things is all.” It wouldn’t be the first time she’s seen things that aren’t actually there. So, that’s what she’s chosing to go with. ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ Shaylee went dead silent as she stared at the ‘waitress’, she blinked a few times as she watched them leave. She then looked at him. “Suddenly I do not feel good. . .” Did she hallucinate that?? Was that real? She couldn’t tell anymore. ⠀⠀

⟢ 𝑺𝑯𝑨𝒀𝑳𝑬𝑬 𝑴𝑨𝒀 🖌️ @tattooedsecrets.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

⠀⠀ Shaylee continues to stare at this man in complete disbelief. Was he well?? Surely he wasn’t serious. She forced a smile. “Uh. . . Wow, what a smart feline.” ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ Shaylee almost choked on her drink when she heard his words. She had to take a moment to cough, she then looked at him. “Uhh—w—what? Your cat. . . Your cat wha.” She was in disbelief as she stared at him. Her eyes were wide. ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ Her interest was peaked when she heard he had a cat. She would glance at him and raise a brow. “A cat? What kind?” She asks, as she took a sip from her cup. Seems like this guy had a pretty tame life so far. . . ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ “Yeah? Okay, I guess that wouldn’t hurt every once in awhile. Got any hobbies?” Shaylee asked, as she would continue to eat her soup. Since he wanted to see her more, she wanted to learn more of him. ⠀⠀

The only reason she had transferred over to Raccoon City was because her sister own a tattoo parlor there. Her older sister had invited her there to give her a chance at being a tattoo artist, but then the virus happened, and her sister lost her life…

⠀⠀ “Me too. . .” Shaylee agreed, before she would immediately try the soup. She was surprised to taste how good it actually appeared to be. “Whoa, okay… Fine. You were right. It tastes pretty good.” ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ “Yeah, I suppose you’re right. . . I definitely would be better off going out more.” But, will she? Most likely not since she didn’t find the need in it. Plus, she just can’t look at things the same since Raccoon City. She hoped their food got here soon. . . She was hungry. ⠀⠀

⠀⠀ “Yeah, yeah. . . This is just strange for me. I’m usually either at my apartment, or at the shop. So being out for once is a weird feeling.” Shaylee told him as she tapped on the table absentmindedly. At least this place seemed pleasant so far. ⠀⠀
