And yet books in which any character has two daddies are banned in red states? Hmmmm….

Tash Corbin she/they @tashcorbin.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

And now for fun art giggles… (Yes this is a screenshot, no it wasn’t credited, no I’m not crediting who I pinched it from because they clearly pinched it too… so let’s just giggle)

Two tubes of paint - one labeled raw umber and one labeled burnt umber. Caption reads: Dang it doesn’t anyone here know how to cook umber

It’s such a wet-paper-bag move… the people who agree with him will never vote for him. And the people who disagree with him are now disappointed in him… like, he would have been better off saying nothing??? So weird.

Sending big love and hugs to everyone feeling the heaviness and hurt of Invasion Day and the appalling media and online discourse. 🖤💛❤️ Always was, always will be.

Yes! We used to live near one of the LAST video stores in Australia, and would go every week to get DVDs just for the pure experience and knowing it would end. We had streaming but we still did it anyway. Haha.

I think it’s 50-50 whether it does it for you at the moment but it’s a good start. It definitely works on gifs, but images it’s hit and miss.

Can you make a Starter Pack of people who’ve joined you here from threads, then you can share the link over there so you’re not only getting them here but you’re also helping them to find like-hearted people to follow? I am LOVING the starter pack function.

If they ACTUALLY wanted to fix it and prioritise community and citizens, there are hundreds of options. They just don't want to, because it's not good for them PERSONALLY. ARGH!

WAIT... how did I not realise you're AUSSIE?!?!? Did you go to the Eras tour?! We went to Night 4 Sydney. BEST. DAY. EVER.

For those who are NEW here - and value inclusion! Please go to Settings>Accessibility and turn on BOTH of the options. This will ensure you don't forget to add alt-text for your images. (And then share a gif or image, to see the auto-generated alt-text - it's not too bad at doing it for you!)

Screenshot of Accessibility Settings page to show how to turn on the alt-text requirements
