Hi, I’m Tasha, ur hood emotional support gremlin. Musician for people who tried deep breathing and positive thinking and found both morally offensive. Grats, you wandered into the wrong corner of the internet and decided to stay. Proud of you. ((CD RP))

Little step outside my usual. Storm’s passed, till the next one. But some things stick. What happens when the power goes out? When things change and you gotta adjust? What matters? How much of my music remains? Thanks @romyknox.bsky.social for unplugging with me. ❤️ www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

So maybe you remember me up my knees in mud shoveling in Hathian. I guess Rana and I shoveled good enough to make something lasting out of it. Communities are built around sharing and passing, around mutual help. So I will be sharing my music at the opening. Come throw veggies at me while I sing 😜

40 days. Longest 40 days. A month passed and here I am, it landed all the way from the downtown again. Not consistent. Not good. But within the reach. Both hands. Traces of the old form. I ain't stopping yet. I am coming back. Back at here, at Columtreal.

38 days. I am not waiting anymore, bro. Fuck that pain, it is time for the noise. Here I declare the voice is officially back.

Tasha 2V @tasha2v.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I've been out, shoveling mud all day, all day, all day, all day. Some people shovel shit, some people eat shit. Everyone deals with the storm the best they are able. There's gonna be hoops again soon! 🏀

Tasha 2V @tasha2v.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I know. Disasters are disasters, bringing pain, loss and all the bad shit. But one thing they are particularly good at is bringing out the community spirit in helping each other. It's what we should do. It is where people are strong at. Together.

Tasha 2V @tasha2v.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Through for now. Time to go out and count. Jolene wasn't the biggest problem. We were. How we take the pressure matters. Think about the next human being. Build survival, don't raise the difficulty. Divide and conquer didn't need a conqueror. We were already divided. There's something to work on.

New adventure begins 🥰 New luxury bedroom: $5 taxpayer-funded bed, hardwood floor 💖, $45 bag of worldly possessions. Air quality best described as wet dog’s ass. I’ll be mostly offline, energy saving and leaving broadband. Txt me and hope if ya need me. Hunker down, stay safe. See ya other side❤️

It took nearly half a year after the last big storm to formulate what I wanted to say, then a couple more months to record it. Glad I got it done before singing was temporarily taken away from me. It's coming back, but for now one from archives. Stay safe everyone. youtu.be/Y1ycPG_Qxyk?...

20 days. Every day a lesson. There’s a difference between carrying what you learned and turning it into law. Ground changes, weather changes and you change too. Experience matters, but so does context. Keep what works, change what doesn’t. Adapt. Learn. Adjust. Continue. youtu.be/HX1rIHpl1g4

I spent years believing pain had to make me stronger. That every loss needed an answer, every limitation a workaround. I’m learning not every wound owes me growth. Sometimes loss is just loss. Rest is not surrender. Sometimes survival means keeping strength for the next hunt. youtu.be/SiZUJy8rSVw

14 days since. Last picture before leaving Shreveport for Columtreal again: the gym where I first tried out, learned the bench, and made my first return. I used to shoot 90%+ from the line. Now I’m at 5%. Tiny steps. Meaningful steps. Tiny steps in one direction make a path.

Tasha 2V @tasha2v.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

@romyknox.bsky.social is an unbelievably crafty girl! She’s the top wing-m-a-n-mate for evening stroll. Among her skills... She can piss standing up! 😮 I have mixed feelings about why she'd do that on the Shreve streets, though. Is that a show of disrespect or a flex? Is she marking her territory?

Tasha 2V @tasha2v.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Voice. One injury and the geometry changes. Breath becomes scarce, so you learn not to waste it. I couldn’t record this one in one go, no. It hurt. There were tears. But I had to know and know now: limited did not mean muted. Impossibility lost the argument. youtu.be/H81Prg_sdZQ

Elder Edmond Johnson taught once you do the impossible once, fear loses that argument. Today I lifted the ball, spun it, flicked my wrist, and got a tiny flight in the direction I wanted. Tiny. Yesterday’s impossible is possible today. Thousands steps back ahead. Pure possibility. Give me strength.

I am out of the hospital. No longer having the staff to help me live. Time to get back, it's gonna be a long track. I've run it twice in my life, third should feel like training. I am not alone for it, I used to have just family. Now I have friends and the team. Let's go! youtu.be/PzOBRE89jjo

Did you know that Laveau is the home of one of our Columtreal Hoopers? Cliv is a valuable point guard, but she is actually much much more. And here you can read all about her and her community centered business. The article does not lie, that doorframe is really pretty fucking low. Ouch.

What is best in life, Tasha? To posterize your opponents, see them driven before you, and to hear the cheers from the bleachers when you alley-oop! 5 hours on the court well spent and now ready to cuddle up with my new bruises and get on with the WNBA all star weekend stream.

Inherent problem of returning home is the return to the memory of what we left behind, while the place lives on. Return home to roots, and those who knew you see a stranger walking their streets. The wound is in the little pause before they know your name again. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmO3...
