I’ve been seeing A LOT of bad takes about Kendrick’s Super Bowl performance. But I’m glad my latest Substack post isn’t one of them open.substack.com/pub/letsstay...

America should be crashing out bad as Drake is

Kendrick Lamar is as cute as he is spiteful.

Yesterday, I was laid off after 10 years at HuffPost. I’m obviously gutted. But once I take a breath, I’ll be open to jobs & freelance work, both in journalism and outside of it, given the state of our industry. To get in touch: bymarinafang@gmail.com Signal: marinafang.72

Through storytelling, I’ve been able to open doors for myself + others that I had only imagined. I’ve been going nonstop since high school + I’m proud of the work I have to show for it. For a young Black girl from Dayton, Ohio w/ no prior media connections, I’ve done alright!

After nearly a decade at HuffPost, today is my last day. I’ve grown so much & I’m grateful for the journey. This has been a dream job and now I’m on to new dreams. I’ll still be writing, hosting and moderating, just doing it as a freelancer for now. Pitch and commission me at taryn@tarynfinley.com.
