Good news: I drafted up a schedule template Not so good news: Imma wait to actually use it 'till I'm actually moved into my place I do like the setup as someone who doesn't really have a set time for streams tho.

A schedule template for future barktender streams

I was not expecting the Supra to out-handle the RX8. Now to get rid of that 2J and put a proper 503E/3SGT

Gas station iced coffee my beloved. For $2 you gain the ability to see beyond the material veil for 2 to 4 hours. The only drawback is being a bit eepy once the effects wear off. Oh and the likelihood of shitting your whole ass

Initial thoughts on Pokémon Conquest: Its neat. Very Fire Emblem on the tactics with just a hint of overall management. I also get the impression that the game doesn't really kick in properly until Nobonaga himself rolls up and starts doing invasion stuff. Either way I'm looking forward to more.

To prevent off-stream grinding in NSFMW I've been playing Underground. It's still my second favorite NFS (1st being The Run), but that opinion is subjective as fucc. That handling/physics are borked to the extent that a curb or bump will ping-pong your ass into a chain reaction. Still love it tho.

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

WHEW 3.5 hours of Most Wanted, and as a bonus we're 3/3 for earning those pink slips. And we've finally gotten out of the starter car tier with Vic's Supra, which we won repaint, swapped the body kit, and did some tuning. Next stream will be Sunday, with a return to Skies of Arcadia!

020

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Fuckit, it's close enough to the weekend for stream time. Gonna be returning to car stuff with a pink-slip only run of NFS: Most Wanted. The good one. With the cigarette filter so it's just like someone has been smoking in my car. Stream's up now! www.twitch.tv/tarlz_vt

Okay so simracing update because I kinda realized it while moving: I'm still gonna do some Sim driving stuff here and there, but I think I'll pass on competitive stuff or leagues. iRacing is also a no for me, its not worth the 15 a month for one-offs and ditching it allows me to ditch Windows.

170

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

It may be temporary (folding table ftw) but the setup is set up. The Taphouse Streams will return this weekend!

270

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Okay so good news and bad news: Bad news: I'll be in the temp place till October. Good news: the permanent apartment will have all new everything Also since I'll be in the temp place longer I'll actually set up for stream stuff, so I'll be back to streaming this weekend

0110

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

So yeah, I do have internet in the temp apartment, and I could technically stream tonight, but I'm gonna wait till either next week or the week afterwards. I dont wanna unpack stuff just to repack it in 5 days

020

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Well, I have made it to new area. Unfortunately apartment is being renovated, which pushed my move in back a week. They gave me a temp place to stay till that's done, but I likely won't be streaming till the 20th at the earliest. Even then I might wait a week to have my proper desk setup.

Eughhh Moving is stressful. I got another day of packing, one of cleaning the apartment, and then I have an 1800 mile drive. Followed by like 4 days of just sleeping if all goes well

040

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

So Raidou's done, and I'll be moving next week. That means no more streams probably mid-September when I'm settled in. It also means that I'll be able to have a more consistent stream schedule afterwards. Sooo yeah, I'll just be shitposting and posting random thoughts here till then

010

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Huh. iRacing just sent the notice that my yearly subscription is renewing in November. I'm thinking about how often I simrace and what sort of things I like about simracing, and honestly I might pass and just stick to hotlapping, time trials, and futzing around in more single player type sims.

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Nocturne Update II: I fucked up and missed a fiend, so I'm trying out the remake just to see. My initial impression is... Meh? Voice acting is nice, and selecting fusion skills is a solid QOL, but I can't see a reason other than grind- removal DLC or not knowing how to emulate to pick the remake.

Playing Megatens update: Im mixed on Nocturne so far. It has some sick visuals, and the combat system is nice and snappy, but everything between that feels weirdly aimless or intentionally tedious. Boss fights boil down to "use demons that resist this and cast buffs/debuffs"

Hoo boy New apartment secured, moving company scheduled, truck and trailer reserved, and emergency funds set aside. I be 95% ready for the cross-country move. Once I finish Raidou, I'll either pause streaming or do some one offs here and there, with a full return on Sept 13th or so. Busy month.

Question for RTS enjoyers: If I have never really sank my teeth into an RTS and was looking for a casual but still engaging one to start out with to see if I liked the genre, what would you recommended?

220

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Okay so we confirmed he's from the future, ran into a parallel badass scarred Raidou, and have pretty much confirmed that the game is playing with the spaghetti web of SMTs timelines. I was not expecting the funny action spinoff game to go that many places, but I am here for it

020

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Well, it may not e my normal midweek stream day, but I *do* have the spare time today for it, so THE RAIDOUTHON WILL CONTINUE (Look, I want to finish this game before the big move) Anyway, stream starts around 8PM Central, so feel free to pop in if you'd like! www.twitch.tv/tarlz_vt

So I beat SMT 1 last weekend, and I have some thoughts on it: Overall I quite liked it. Felt like a unique take on an RPG setting, even/especially by modern standards. (1/4)

Yee, so no stream today. Girlfriend is moving in, so I'll be a tad busy till the weekend.

030

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

Okay so Radou's plot is getting a bit nutty. Like... Persona 2 nutty. I wanna know what happens next, so theres gonna be a midweek stream of it tonorrow The plan is to rush through Raidou and hopefully get to a good point in Skies of Arcadia before I go on haitus for a cross-country move

110

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

No stream tonight due to family visit, hut the weekend streams are still on for Raidou and Skies of Arcadia. (For real this time now that Legends Arceus is out of my system)

020

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

So anyway I named my SMT 1 hero The Dude, because I love the image of The Big Lebowski, but with demon nuclear apocalypse

The Dude from The Big Lebowski with an SMT comp and a sword

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

So the combination of the Raidou Remake and Legends Arceus has me on a weird line of thought about spinoffs, remakes, the vibes thereof. I can't quite articulate what those thoughts are, but it is gonna lead to a lot more Pokémon and SMT streams and playthroughs in my spate time. Send help

030

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Just realized that Enamorus is female, my apologies for misgendering her. She's still just the worst thing in that game and I hope she gets left in a dumpster or sent back to an untranslated phone only SMT game whish is where she belongs.

020

Tarlz (Barktender Vtuber) @tarlz.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

I finished way too late to post the is yesterday, but LEGENDS ARCEUS COMPLETE WE PUT GOD IN THE BALL FUCK THE INCARNATE TRIO AND THE SMT TWINK THAT FOLLOWS THEM, WORST PART OF THE GAME BY FAR

Pokémon hot take of the day: the spinoffs have been way more interesting to me than the mainline titles. And while I've found the perfect spinoff to stream after Arceus, that does mean that I'll be closer to needing to dive into the Mystery Dungeon games. And theres like 12 of those. Oh dear.
