The porch light illuminates my front deck just enough so that Amy & Flo can see the rain. It was a hot and dry summer. They haven't really seen very much rain in their whole lives. I'll leave the front door open for a bit longer so they can enjoy the sound and smell of it.

Anyone who thinks they have strong boundaries should try to go to the bathroom without their cat. I tried to lock my cat out but after her constant clawing and meowing, I gave up and opened the door. Made me laugh cause I feel like I have strong boundaries with humans but with cats I give in.

The temperature will be noticeably higher today, winds will shift. Pushing the smoke from the east Oregon wildfires into the valleys. Warnings for smoke, heat and fire danger in western Oregon. Trump denied requests for firefighter & disaster aid, saying it's our fault for letting the forests grow.

My sleep has turned into a full‑color cinema. Nighttime, nap time... doesn’t matter. My dreams come packed with characters, plot twists, and alternate realities that outshine my life. Not scary, not joyous… just wildly detailed. They’re so entertaining I’m starting to look forward to my next nap!
