This is a very good piece about how the plane survived the rapid descent. Still, the pilots are out of reach for now. www.wsj.com/business/air...

How a Boeing 737 MAX Survived a Nosedive Traveling at the Speed of Sound
The jet lost key tail sections after an extreme plunge, but its structure largely held up and enabled pilots to safely land.

Wrote some fairly involved Unixy process fiddling code in go(on Linux). Was shocked that it just worked with all tests passing on first try on openbsd. Apparently go is the thing that makes Unix portability work

thanks. Good article few qualms 1) Stalin encouraged maximum german brutality against own soldiers, killed most of the prisoner returnees thus amoplifying Hitlers propaganda. 2) The trope re stalin being unprepared for worn is so worn out. Soviet/German bloodpath was an intentional game of chicken

Its a massive design flaw they have no fix for. I think all E-GMP carries it. Weirdly it hits some people harder than others

Omer Bartov reviews Jochen Hellbeck's book on how the Nazis' geopolitical ambitions specifically against "Judeo-Bolshevism" were crucial fabric & "larger setting" of the Holocaust & WWII, ie not the West's strictly racial hatred dominant narrative. Western erasure of USSR vs Soviet erasure of Jews.

I made myself a cool tool to quickly eval quality of an internet link, it's a awk script over ping. Now i'm shocked by @tailscale.com degradation for a direct link on my lan.
