I've been poking around at the accounts faving the arguers. Some of them are real people. The vast majority of have followers in the single digits, if any; most haven't posted anything; the few who posted before this started were posting in Cyrillic before. I'm shocked - SHOCKED, I tell you.

Do you wanna discuss the concern about getting a papercut on your leg or getting it stuck in a woodchipper? Because both cause bleeding from the leg via tree related things.

It's not semantics. I live in the state with far and away the longest medical care wait times, and am therefore a LOT more afraid of a pneumonic plague outbreak than bubonic.

I am the only person with my name, but there's a uh. PDF file with my initials and surname, and this dude is SO DUMB he keeps using my email address for official government stuff. He didn't stop til I replied to his parole officer to show him screenshots of the sketchy adult sites he'd signed up to

I haven't had a chance to read them yet, but Tom has assured me she gets everything she really deserves and more in the comics. Which is good, because my GOD she was done so dirty.

Spooky bird stories. My Halloween comic from 2024.
A comic titled Spooky Bird Stories. In panel 1, a turkey vulture is telling stories to other vultures, and it says, "She walked toward the source of the terrible smell. She got closer and closer, and then, to her horror, she saw... No dead body." A black vulture says "No!" and a turkey vulture says "Did someone already eat it??" In panel 2, a northern cardinal is telling a story to some songbirds. It says "They peered through the windows of the house at the gory scene. Zombies had smashed through the door in the night. The homeowner was dead. But worst of all... He hadn't refilled the feeders." An eastern bluebird says "Aaah!" and an American goldfinch says "It can't be!". In panel 3, A screech owl is telling a story to other owls. It says "And then the ghost fluffed itself up really big to appear scarier." A saw-whet owl gasps, and a long-eared owl says "Horrifying!". In panel 4, a downy woodpecker is telling a story to other woodpeckers, and says "The eerie sound rang through the dark woods. Tap-tap. Tap-tap. It was the distinctive two-part knock of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. The species had returned from the dead... FOR REVENGE." A red-cockaded woodpecker says "Yesss".

(Also, fair in general re: Crosby, I can't think of a single other character with as much GBV as a defining element. Like "Yeah sure we'll bring you back for other roles, but they're all rooted in SA somehow and/or going to die and we won't let you forget that you shouldn't ask for more development"

A lot of King's movies go out of their way to add tension release valves, but man, that movie is *relentless*

And yeah he did shit like that with gore scenes all the way until I left for college. In my 20s I watched horror movies every day until I was all but desensitized to them, but still can't watch Poltergeist or Wishmaster (New French Extremity films can fuck right off though, no thanks)

My boomer-ass dad was throwing back some beers while watching "Poltergeist" on TV with some buddies, and thought it would be funny to call me into the living room right at the beginning of the uh. The Scene With The Face Stuff. and not let me leave I was 4, so also one of my earliest memories

It just doesn't feel right. You spend 20+ years used to the idea that shops won't have your size, driving 2 hours to the nearest plus sized store, and now you get stuck in this loop of checking and rechecking your measuring tape and your math, because surely that can't be right, this is all wrong

captain goat @tapestrybeast.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
As much as people constantly want to lose weight, I can tell you that there's honestly a lot of grief and fear involved when you spend your life from your teenaged years through your 30s in 2XLs, and suddenly have to grapple with the idea that every size chart online has you squarely in the S range

This bitch here loves cardigans. I'm a millennial so I like stuff form fitting; I accept that "oversized fit" is stylish right now even though I hate it; but if my cardigans are falling off me *straight down* I can't even use that as an excuse. My starry witchy sparkly cardigans :(
110
captain goat @tapestrybeast.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Had a moment of absolute ugly sobbery because I realized that all of my favorite cardigans and wraps, stuff I've worn for over a decade (lots of stuff from the 2010s when strong colors, witchy stuff, and stars were everywhere) - it's all so big on me I can't wear it. Shoulder seams around my elbows.

To some, yeah, everything is evil. Plenty of Internet Atheists:tm: are just as judgmental about furries. There's a reason I have seen these things in cathedrals and illuminations! Left that behind, but there was a lot of time overlap. People have always just liked animal people! It's in our nature.

captain goat @tapestrybeast.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Anthros (violent, rude, randy) are all over marginalia in manuscripts and illuminations, as well as stonework in just about every part of cathedrals and churches. The stuff found both in and outside of cathedrals that couldn't be easily removed is sometimes downright obscene and genuinely hilarious.

One of the shittiest parts of mega-corps buying up every medical practice in a region & rolling them into a single interlinked system (beyond data breaches - at least 3 so far in '26) is emailing a your GP for a 2nd opinion on a possible infection, and an admin FWDs that email right to your surgeon

Even the most well-intentioned men analyzing "Obsession" peg the moment where they realize Bear is the baddie far too late. It's clear they've never been a teenaged girl working for tips at a diner before.

(That was the intent of the video, anyway. It turns out that weapons-grade anesthesia it takes 2 hours to wake up from, then being given more morphine, then a double shot of Dilaudid will make phrases like "Canada Rules" sound an awful lot like "Cannibalism")

captain goat @tapestrybeast.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Morphine wasn't working so I needed 2 infusions of Dilaudid. I was in another dimension where pain didn't matter, everyone was my friend, and it was extremely important that Tom record a video of me apologizing to Opal In Sky for missing their concert.

Thank you 💜 So far it seems like I'm healing faster than is typical, so that's good. First couple days of this are notoriously brutal and they weren't lying. Six-week recovery, but by Friday things will feel SO much better than now.

I've lost ~60 kg, and today had excess skin around my abdomen removed. Feels baaaad. The weight loss means my top surgery will effectively be covered by insurance, and I should be able to have that done in December! Should be a much easier recovery. My surgeon is excellent, and I have high hopes.

My primary recovery instructions are "Sit or lay down on your back but sort of in fetal position at all times, spend as much time asleep as possible, and also somehow figure out how to consume 3200 calories a day. But stay still. Seriously don't do anything"

I assure you: Every person you know who goes out to pick up road trash has seen this kind of thing many times. It is *because* they're the kind of people who do this that nobody hears about it. It chips away at our belief of the goodness of humanity. Sickens our souls. We don't want to tell you.
140
captain goat @tapestrybeast.bsky.social · 10/09/2026
I've seen things "just picking up trash lmao" that I never want to think about again. People like me are the reason you DON'T have to think about it and are under the impression it doesn't matter. Be GRATEFUL for people who do the work you think is beneath you, and are paid only in nightmares.

PSA because my ass is VERY chapped: Volunteering is not glamorous and is often exhausting, gross, repetitive, even traumatic. Volunteers are there so the people with fancy letters after their names can do the "cool" work. Looking down on people who do the "boring" stuff shows your ignorance.
