I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

Google Maps has officially changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to "Gulf of America" after Trump's executive order. And a new Republican bill would let Trump rename Greenland "Red, White and Blueland." Still no word on lowering the cost of groceries, however.

The next DOGE target could be the FDIC, which was already experiencing a staffing shortage before Trump's hiring freeze. Remember: the FDIC was created during the Depression to protect people's deposit accounts. Gutting it could lead to another financial meltdown.
