dread is one of very few games in existence where it’s an absolutely incredible sequel to a game made by none of the same people. their metroid 2 remake i don’t like a lot, cuz it really messed with the tone of the original work, but MercurySteam knows metroid, and their own projects are incredible

14. Spider-Man: Brand New Day (10/10) this clears the entire MCU. this clears a lot of the previous spider-man movies for me. This had so much soul i forgot this was an MCU production. calamity mod is overrated as fuck even if it’s foundational mod content. every mid to endgame boss gets annoying tracking projectiles or screen dodging attacks, summoner didn’t even get whips for years after implementation, and harder difficulties are necessary to get the most out of it. whatever
