It was still tense and in the bleakest moment the parties guild master, cursed by the cult, managed to give them some health and theyre favorite npc started up courageous anthem. The final blow was the wizards critical hit Disintegrate turning the boss into dust~

The final session began the showdown, with the players still reeling from the first fight. It was a matter of survival for several turns as he monologued and robbed powerful spells from on high. But a lucky synesthesia weakened his defenses and an earthbind brought him down in range of the Magus

As they brought the cult leader down to single digit health, it became her turn. She sacrificed herself and the demon to partially fulfill the ritual. The ancient big bad returned partially, level 15, without all his spells, but with flight and freedom of movement.

Penultimate session they made their way to the top of the tower encountering the cult leader, 3 lieutenants, and their demon patron conducting the ritual to bring back the legendary big bad of 30 years ago. Extreme encounter for the 5 pcs at level 12.
