Been working on my NixJr shell, big update with cleaner, more modular code, more settings options, a StreamDeck style UI for small touch submonitors, global safe Parallax scrolling. Cant wait to get to a point I can release this.

This just in, we now accept international orders from Canada, the UK, most of the EU and Australia!

The opening should absolutely be big enough to put an esp32 board inside the rattle ball.

110

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 22/09/2026

Thank you for your order! I'm so glad someone finally got the bunnies! They are one of my favorite rattle characters.

One of my favorite things about bands is you will have a photo of the whole band in some elaborate costumes, following a theme or style while looking badass, and there is always that one dude that just looks like someones dad who was forced to dress up just looking grumpy AF.

I wear mine out with bloomers like, every day. It is HOT here so its nice to have a light cotton top and shorts for the heat more or less

It is crazy how toxic the internet has become. Everywhere you look someone is calling you a pedophile or telling you to kill yourself. Like, how did we get here? Covid fried brains. Remember when tiktok was videos of people dancing and funny animals, and not callouts and death threats? I mean Jesus.

The code is also.... embarisingly written, because I jumped into it when I first switched to linux 8 months ago. It reallllyyyy needs a refactor.

000

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

I canttttt, to much of the project is limited to my setup atm. It needs more work before I can release the code for it

000

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

Haha I really need to update it. I just got an MPC and I've been meaning to go wild on the sound design

100

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

Haha thanks, and I super duper get it. I miss stuff on bsky all the time and I'm like howwwww.

020

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

OOOOOOOOOOOoooooo it is a vibe isn't it.

100

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

It will absolutely get replaced with a working card holder.

000

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

I've sent you an email with some questions so we can get you a working modder card case asap.

000

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

To be clear, if you have a problem with the fit we WILL resolve it even if that means sending you a replacement.

100

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 05/09/2026

What credit card did you use out of curiosity, we tried.... more cards than you could imagine and they all fit.

NixJr Update! Over the last 8 months I have been working on my linux shell off and on. In the last month I added more OSD effect, built in my greetd login, fully integrated my steam game launcher, rolled out a lot of bugfixes, and added shell wide parallax scrolling effects to make it more animated!

Have you been interested in getting a rattle but live outside of the USA? Send me a DM with your country and any questions you have. We are trying to open up to international orders but your messages can help us prioratize which destinations we add!

Make a logo for yourself it is super fun! Before I was super baby dressed all the time I had tons of stuff with my logo on it!

The postal service sees some stuff for sure. The number of times we had a surprise "must sign for" package and I had to answer the door in WHATEVER I was wearing is high.

How excited are you? I would be so excited.

It will work on anything that can run Hyprland and Quickshell, that is what it built on. Unfortunately right now it has 0 configurator UI so unless you like manually editing code it is static. I plan on fixing that, but its not a feature I personally need so I havent worked on it.

110

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 04/09/2026

I'm hoping to get it to a point where it can either stand alone, or be part of a TotMods project, so ppl can run it themselves. Its my everyday UI but it needs some work. I think it would need to get moved to another distro first though, as most ppl probably don't want to learn NixOS for a shell UI.

Where as when my landlord called the police on ME for having someone with me at my rental walk through, because she had been super nasty to me about moving out and I wanted someone to keep her in check, they showed up. Luckily they backed me, not her.

100

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 28/08/2026

the first time you call the cops you realize how useless they are. Had my 1500 dollar bike stole from my house (that was a decent amount in 2010) and I tracked down THE PEOPLE WHO STOLE IT, WHO WERE CLEARLY RUNNING A BIKE THEFT RING and the cops just went "meh" They had tens of thousands in bikes.

I show off the rattle building a bit in this video, how it goes together and comes apart! Ignore the very weirdly assigned auto label, unless you find baby dresses suggestive. bsky.app/profile/tant...

Cody would, with a gray and black dumbbell rattle he called “the lug”

030

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 15/08/2026

Uhh, just to be clear the whole thing unscrews and screws together so other than having no idea how much weight it would hold ( we tested for drops and play not like, making it 15 pounds ) you absolutely can do that. You can even make them barbell shaped in the custom order section.

Omg omg omg why am I so excited for this I am a grown ass person.

www.TotMods.com IS FINALLY OPEN FOR ORDERS, so I present the Modder Card, a tap to play card that makes paying in person a blast. Slide in your payment method of choice and watch people laugh at your giant toy credit card. Customize it with 4 different colors, two for the front and two for the back.

Was I not on discord when that happened? They filmed an episode of Kitchen Nightmare in the city I live in. I got to complain about the food with Gordon Ramsey! He was very nice, but we were just in the background for the episode. It was wild, we answerd a post on reddit to get on.

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 01/08/2026

Omg someone just recognized us from the episode of kitchen nightmares we were on.

Oh, You can have sharkies in pink. Every Part comes in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, Black, Grey, and White. Plus we are open to requests for weirder options, but I think 10 base colors is a good selection!

She is now trying to explain why she needs her phone which actually seems to be all the reasons she doesn’t have to have her phone.

She was being bratty and not sticking to her routine like a good girl and lost phone privileges.

Our starting colorways just for people looking for ideas. Super fun and BIG, I hope you are ready to rattle. I love sharkies and battys.

So we announced a little early, got slowed down in some of the details, and I am sorry for that. That said we are on track to open in the next coupld of days. We have the equipment to start making a wide range of products, and plan on bringing your dream toys to market!

090

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 27/07/2026

Anyone who has done a project will tell you that the first 90% is only like 10% of your time, and that got us! We got excited to launch, had done 90%+ of the work, but then hit that 10% and it took us much longer than expected. We have spent a lot of money and were just itching to start selling.

190

Tantrum Tot Bridget @tantrumtot.com · 27/07/2026

So what took so long to open TotMods? We arn't planning on just making rattles for fun. We are trying to set ourselves up as a custom toys business for all the kidults out there moving forward. That means equipment (we have invested a LOT up front) figuring out processes etc.
