Australian Labor has retained government. I expect major oral health reforms to occur, as promised over the last term of government. This is a call for all oral health advocates to keep them accountable. #oralhealth #publichealth #healthequity

Federal Budget 2025/26 failed Australians for #oralhealth. FFA extended for 12 months at $107.8M, not INDEXED. $39M reduction in the Child Dental Benefits Schedule? Australia clearly needs a Commonwealth Chief Dental Officer, with with relevant skills and experience in population health.

We can't refute that #oralhealth isn't essential. But not all dental services are... What dental services should be government funded or not, and if any, cost-sharing, is important for equitable oral healthcare. And also includes oral healthcare by doctors, etc. x.com/i/status/189...
