i'd like to bring some attention to this wip appreciation post with a wip of my own!

“I have him in a trance. I’ll wake him up in a few hours and see how he is. What did he tell you?”

“Stay away from the river, and he could barely get that out.” Yoongi answers.

“How odd.” Halmeoni ponders.

“He was also saying ‘the river, you’ll’, before his memory was wiped.” Soojin adds.

Halmeoni looks directly at Yoongi. Her gaze is penetrating, a silent warning to him that he had better not plan on going anywhere any time soon. “You’re going to tell me to stay home indefinitely aren’t you?” Yoongi asks.

“Not indefinitely, but look at yourself. At least give yourself a couple more days.”

Yoongi wants to protest but Soojin shushes him so he can speak up. “Please, babe, I’ll even sleep upstairs with you if it will keep you home.” He says, his tone pleading and concern deeper than how he felt about Seokjin minutes prior.

Yoongi takes a deep breath. All of the signs are pointing to this, that he stays put. He concedes, though he’s not sure if Soojin will last the whole night. He chuckles, gives his partner a warm kiss, and tugs him to the kitchen. “Have you had breakfast yet?” He asks.

“I had something small a few hours ago.” Soojin says.

“Good, then you can have something big.” Yoongi smirks as he says this, and Soojin gives him a laugh. Yoongi isn’t exactly small, but he’s the one who will have something big when the time is right.
