Blaze Mazinkaiser. What do you even say about this thing? For a big ass gokin toy, it poses miraculously well, the only limitation being the usual dynamic pro hip joint issues, where you can only get it up about 90 degrees, but it never *really* feels inhibiting.

Getting one of these big overtly expensive gokin toys once or twice a year really does ram home why I've switched to this over domestic stuff completely. I'll still buy the odd TBS or TF or whatever for cheap, and even modern bandai releases and almost always feel let down. Never with these things.

So, Megalomaria Maria Kagaribi. Honestly I did kind of expect the same level of eroticism from this as the male models did, but it's lacking in that and exceeding in the cool factor the same way the original female body is. She's too cool and sick to wanna pose super sexually.

Well I was captured after seeing it on the big screen. Got Missing Link Grimlock. Having messed with it for an hour now, I don't *think* it's worth the pricetag, but with a 35 bucks off discount, I'd say it's worth it.

More or less just testing these since I'd like to get some LED strips to light them, but yeah that's cool man. 2.50 cad for one of these is so damn nice.

finishing my covray run of alpha 3 on the slide this week and hit the 3rd impact mission again simultaneously amazing how well they pulled off EoE including a giant 3d rei manifesting and recreating the poses she does as the mission progresses but fuck this is funny

Still think this might be my favourite alternative face on any figure or plamo I've ever owned.

Got Embo. Might take more pics later but very cool. Realizing TBS is a line I'll grab on a whim if I see something irl now, but not something worth pre-ordering in general. He's limited, but fairly unique and cool, and though idgaf about Mando vs Groglet, this is another TCW guy for me.

Defences mostly done, planning on knocking back the nuclear engines a bit to fit the new grav artillery back there, as well as build another grav cannon in with my other integrated cannons at the midpoint of the ship Had to rebuild and move my cargo holds, hence the mountains of materials lmao.

$2.50 daiso stackable mecha hanger featuring my old ass RD arbalest very tempted to buy a bunch of these to display my various gundam RDs that don't fit in any of the SRW displays

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

I really like thinking about the meteoric rise in engineering around this time. Busou Shinji and Revoltech and SHF and RD all making unthinkable leaps in poseability in what was basically a 5 year period from 2007 to 2012. Leaps so huge that improvement has been minor and incremental since.

120

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

So I bought this Strarf in I think 07 or 08, and she's been living in her box from around 2011 onwards when I moved out of my parents' place. And uh. Yeah that's the worst plasticizer leak I've ever seen in my life lmao. Actually dripping.

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

I'm still very upset that I lost my Z3 saves to my old HDD dying a few years ago, but it is still kind of crazy going through this again and realizing this was the last SRW that was mechanically sound. The difficulty informing the narrative is on par with OG2, if not above that.

Starting to build up my defence network finally. Got a bunch of 20mm cannons and stuff all around, and now I got a proper hangar for my mechs. Amazed at how cracked they are to the point I keep all my colonists on turrets now and only let the mechs out to combat raids directly.

110

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Think I'm mostly done with the shape? Got accommodations filed and finished for all my colonists, as well as all production areas. Two new hangars for the exosuit mechs, and both a shuttle bay and a landing bay. Think I gotta start worrying about defences proper next.

More Nono! Definitely one of those you should grab this tier endorsements from me atp. Just a blast to handle, looks super cute, and rarely if ever feels limiting.

Grabbed Moderoid Nono when I was getting the final Sailor Scout SHF for wife's shelves, and despite being effectively an impulse purchase, really good! I always wanted the riobone, but that thing is way too expensive and weirdly dated looking at reviews from the time, so I'm very happy to have this.

Both my case lights have died so my room is a bit darker than usual, and he matches my case lights perfectly, so it's a bit hard to photograph. But maaaaan. Beyond gorgeous. Definitely gonna paint up the bits it's missing because this is great.

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Well. Very good that it's incredibly pretty. This is one of the most for me things that's existed in awhile. Galvatron's colour scheme was always my favourite, but applied to Lio Convoy specifically and styled the way it is. Yeah man. Fuck yeah.

170

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

So I got the Flametoys Galva Convoy yesterday and while the plastic quality is great and the prepainted stuff is pretty and the articulation so far is immaculate. These are the worst instructions I think I've ever used lmao. Like as bad as some of the original 80s Bandai kits from the dark ages.

320

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I know the twin nuclear reactors seems excessive but trust me, once you start building out turrets your voltage skyrockets exponentially. And holy fuck do you need an excessive amount of high power turrets for a gravship that needs to BE a killbox to have a killbox.

100

tammtoys.bsky.social @tammtoys.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Okay I knew this was gonna be gouging because Bandai has a high value IP for the first time in a minute but 16500 is fucking criminal holy shit. 3 paint apps on the whole thing equals as much as one of the fully painted chogokin FA toys. Sure man fuck you.

Painting this a full year after I started has kind of just been agonizing, as I'm remembering that both the crotch plate and the right hip were broken and despite my repairs, they're both only barely holding together. I hate Bandai!!!! But it does look cool as hell.
