I haven't thought much about the future since watching The Jetsons, Star Trek, and The Matrix as a child. This writing prompt was an excellent thought exercise.

Instructions: The year is 3023. What does a city of the future look like? What are the sights? The sounds? Write about the architecture. The advertisements. Is the city squalid or has the world progressed from our own era? This exercise will test your ability to world-build. It’s all about engaging your imagination. So go on create a city of the future! The architecture is astounding. It was the world the science fiction novels had dreamed of - straight out of something in a Dick Tracy novel. Skyscrapers lined major streets, with little cities within each wall.
