Also, the ACA wasn't what Obama wanted. It was a compromise because Republicans at the time didn't give a rat's ass if we can afford healthcare. It's even worse now. We need to get private equity and profiteering out of it, and there must be a way to do it. This isn't capitalism, it's greed.

Not good for everyone, but it made health insurance accessible for many. 2 of our 4 sons were able to get affordable plans because their employers didn't offer one. I'm grateful for that. I'm a Democrat, nothing is perfect, and I never said it was.

Private equity firms buying hospitals and private practices before destroying them with low nurse to patient ratios, long waits, etc. are driving up costs and profiteering. I believe the winds are changing.

Actually, I registered Democrat in 2016 and never looked back. I grew up in a conservative family, and married an academic at 21. It took me awhile. How about quitting the tribalism in favor of winning?

#NoKings in McAllen, TX had over a thousand participants... I've done all of our local events. This was far and above more engaged and intense... completely peaceful even with some Trump agitators trying to stir up trouble!
