Chapter 13. 36% of the way through the book. The main story FINALLY begins! If the writing wasn't so good, this would have been a DNF. #BookSky💙📚

Update: Am 25% of the way through. The story advertised in the blurb has yet to begin.🙄

I started reading a new book today, and I can already see there's about 4-5 chapters of backstory packed into the beginning. You know, the kind of thing I'd edit out and turn into a free novella to promote the main story. The prose is good, however, so I think I'll stick with it... #BookSky 💙📚

*sigh*... The book I'm reading is beautifully written, skillfully plotted, and has deep, likable characters. But it's sloooow. And while I can normally dig a slow-paced story, not when I'm writing. Then, I need things to moooove... So not a DNF, but as "finish later"... #booksky💙📚
