Tim Stützle has 2 goals and 2 assists in 2 games and it wasn’t just farming points in 16-goal games

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

The next couple games feel like a big test. Games they should be winning against bad teams, with little reasons they could get away with losing sprinkled in there. Sens of old lose those, we shall see which version this is

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Zadorov throwing hits like that with 3 seconds left in the game is so bush league. That sort of thing that should be an automatic suspension but obviously won’t, cuz NHL

080

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Am I correct in saying that 3 of the team’s 6 goals have come from Stützle-Amadio 2 on 1s

290

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

The thing that everybody else is now realizing about Trady is that the narrative around his play of “whether he’s putting points on the board or not, he’s making his presence known and having impact every single shift no matter what” simply hasn’t been true since like 2023 at best

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Jokes aside you can’t help but wonder if McKenna will end up suffering from Lafreniere syndrome, if only slightly A team that jumped too high up in the lottery and are already trying to compete again, so the rookie is expected to be a high-end NHLer right off the bat

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

That last 1:30 of the game is just insanely good hockey from the Sens, man

2200

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Watching the game back and man, Pinto, Amadio, and Giroux were just all over the puck. That’s just such a good line

180

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

If the Sens win a cup in the foreseeable future it will be with Mike Amadio. Get the guy extended as immediately as possible, Steve

Btw I missed the start of the game, turned it on, and the Leafs immediately scored. So obviously I was bad luck and had to turn it off Now I’m just keeping up with the game based off of listening to if my roommate cheers or not

WAKE UP ITS FINALLY OTTAWA SENATORS GAMEDAY

060

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

People keep saying “well detroit has to be more picky with trading Larkin because they want a player not picks” If they did things properly over the offseason, they could have done the exact same thing as the Sens! Take the picks you can get, flip em immediately Just regular good GM things

090

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

The good news for red wings fans is that they can’t restart the rebuild if they don’t have a GM who’s allowed to trade players

050

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Wow, the fourth day of the regular season. So excited to watch my favourite hockey team, the Ottawa Senators, play some NHL hockey after a long off-season

33% of the skaters in the Canucks starting lineup on a given day will be guys who wear an A for them lmao

030

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Am I crazy or have there been way more “THAT guy is wearing an A????” and “they have HOW MANY guys wearing As??????” situations this year than in those previous Am I just paying more attention or what

340

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Yeah just you wait until the Sens D is Sanderson, Chabot, Zub, Seider, Spence, and Edvinsson And also Yakemchuk and also EK65 Cuz screw it. We’ll run a 10-8 every night

281

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Detroit is gonna be able to draft SO many middle 6 wingers with all the picks they get for Larkin, Seider, and Raymond

180

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

In this fantasy world we’re living in right now, let’s make it clear that Sanderson-Seider would be the best defence pair in the NHL and it wouldn’t be all that close

050

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I know that we’re all joking about Seider to the Sens, but just wait until the wings draft multiple future middle-6 wingers with the picks they get back in the trade Who’s gonna be laughing then?

070

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Tim Stützle is the best for many reasons, but the fact that he has genuine hatred in his heart for the Habs is probably the main one Probably would have been his sole claim for captaincy over Chabot

2212

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Gavin McKenna is a very, very, very talented hockey player who should have a good, long career in the NHL He also struggled to make the jump from CHL to college hockey look seamless The idea that he would have an easier time doing so in the NHL was… optimistic

150

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Habs fans have to pretend like team analytics don’t matter because of how bad theirs were last year

030

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Chabot C Sanderson A Stützle A Giroux A It’s simply perfect! Like they could not have possibly gotten it any more correctly. Only thing they did wrong was not making the call sooner

0110

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

People are being very silly about the Sens and the rest of the Atlantic Yes, the Sens’ advanced stats suggest that they are due for another strong season with positive regression from goalies Yes, it’s reasonable to be concerned that it may not be enough, especially in a strong division

150

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Not surprising to see the Sens score 4 on a goalie that is obviously supposed to be on the rockets

030

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

If I could, I would make all of my top 3 answers in JFresh’s “most hated fanbase” poll the habs They’re just embarrassing to the sport

150

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

This still is absolutely killing me lmao Touré just wondering what that loser was even trying to do

080

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

And if I said that the Leafs don’t have a single defenceman who would be in the (healthy) Sens top 4, then what? I mean, somebody smarter than me would probably give me a proper reason for why I may be wrong But idk if there’s anyone there I’d want to take and replace any of our top 4 with

270

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

At this point it feels like the Swede thing has to be on purpose

070

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Maybe I’m crazy, but I’ve always kinda liked that the NHL had to work around the salary cap. I enjoyed getting into the details of how much players ought to be asking for and whatnot The cap rising basically turns the league into being a pseudo-soft cap league Cap hits will matter less and less

050

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Maybe I’m overthinking it but I’ve always been wondering if the reason Chabot doesn’t have the C yet is because they’re worried about his contract expiring soon, and the team not wanting to pay him what he may want. I wonder if the rising cap helps to quell that concern

030

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

One of the things that the massive cap jump means to me is that there’s no reason to not just extend Zub (as long as that knee isn’t a serious problem) Being a couple million overpaid in 3-4 years is going to be absolute peanuts compared to the value of still having him for the next 2-3

040

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I think that Cozens is prepped for a really, really strong year. Good preseason and he should always be paired with one of Eklund or Batherson throughout the year. Both of whom he’s demonstrated a lot of chem with. Just feels primed for a career year

261

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

One thing we’ll need to remember now with Eklund and the assumption he will continue to improve here in Ottawa, is that in Travis Green hockey, “improve” does not necessarily mean “more points” Just because I can already see “uhhh Sens fans you said he’d be better??? But his POINTS are the same!”

140

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

If Halliday is a full-time NHLer beyond being a 4th line centre, I think he’s a winger tbh Easy to see the projection. Big body in the corners, making space and dishing pucks from along the wall. Not sure if he has the foot speed or pace to be a top 9 centre

140

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

In a similar way to how the Bruins were Bergeron’s team well before he became the captain, or the Avs have been MacKinnon’s team for a while (obviously the Landeskog injury factors in, but still), I think that realistically, the Sens are Stützle’s team whether or not he’s got the C

130

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Ben Hutton PP1, preseason rocks so hard

030

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I’ve been hoping for Sammy Blais to make a much stronger case this preseason Can’t say he’s been any more impressive than uh Literally anyone

020

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Andonovski and the random scrub were going at it a ton during the prospect game, too Those two simply do not like each other on a personal level. I am positive of this

021

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

“Which game are you watching” well one is on TSN and the other is on Sportsnet, so

020

tak @taksevasion.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Guys I’m sorry but I just can’t do “which preseason squad different guys are on and if they’re playing in front of the home crowd or not” discourse Hockey season is back we can talk about real things, we don’t need to do this anymore
