Any excuse for a drive. It doesn’t take much to get us out and in the car, so when we heard about crankshaft coffee being relatively local, it seemed like a good excuse to get some shots of the new Dakar hoodie.

Our annual tradition saw its busiest turnout this year, with all three car parks filling up! Whether it be meeting up with friends, going for a drive, a bit of human connection, or simply just to enjoy being around cars. Whatever your reason, coffees and cars exists to bring the community together.

An excellent way to get out and chat to people during the middle bit between Christmas and New Year when nobody really knows what to do. Great to see the @takona.co.uk crew and chat to Meg - she really is driven and it's fab to see.

We’ve had a few messages asking how to get one of these, so we’re going to do a good thing out of a rubbish situation. £10 from every one of these will go to the campaign against living miserably. On the site already.

First testers for some new embroidery ideas have arrived. Pretty chuffed with the finish on these, should we add them to the site though?

Paid a “photographer” £60 to get a photo of the Saab for a personal tee.

The Lexus maybach is a tempting replacement for the Saab, but an original LS400 is calling.

Guess who learned that Birmingham’s clean air zone resets at midnight and isn’t a 24 hour rolling day. Swear they’ve changed the site wording since we paid for the original clean air travel pass. Guess it’s worth getting this printed and framed as it’s cost £60

International Men’s Day. If nothing else it’s a reminder to check in with the men in your life, just a brief chat, a casual catch up, or even letting them know you’ve thought about them. Men often feel isolated, alone, or unthought of, the stigma is changing, but it’s still got a ways to go.

PSA please don’t put your stickers on other people’s cars, especially without asking. This one has left all of its glue behind 🙃

An evening of tinkering and the steam deck is running GT4 to the tv and the Gamester Dual Force wheel is now working with the steam deck. This might be more fun than actually playing the games.

These have been surprisingly popular this week. So of course the vinyl plotter stopped working and its replacement has required a degree to understand the software / settings. Yet we persevere and stickers are heading out the door.

A quick post for a quick offer. Pre-production fleece and quarter zip are half price till we get our test pieces (likely next Friday) We’re confident in the embroidery and print capabilities, it’s always a stylistic tweak that gets made. On the homepage already if your fancy one.

Clothing can say a lot without you having to. Ours says ITS OK TO TLK. Takona was built from car culture. From late nights in garages, weekend meets, and the conversations that happen around cars. The moments where people open up without even realising it. That’s where this all started.

Small gift from a local council van this morning. Fortunately when it bounced out the back it went under the car and didn’t hit it. Some sort of cap for a tube by the looks of it.

Coffees, Cars, Conversation, Convoy, C(k)arts, and Clubsport (motorsport doesn’t work for the alliteration) The mental health day coffees and cars mixed things up a bit with a ride from Gasoline Juice down to Silverstone for a car meet alongside the motorsport.

World mental health day, if nothing else it’s a reminder to stop and check in with yourself and those close to you. Life can be pretty busy, we can miss the signs, if you don’t chose when to take a break, the choice gets made for you and it’ll never be at the right time.

Those joining us for the northampton coffees and cars this Sunday, we’ll be having a little drive down to Silverstone for Carnatters Car meet and motorsport for world mental health day. We’ll be at Gasoline juice around 9:30 then heading off at 11, you’ll need a Carnatter Ticket for Silverstone.

We’ve been a bit quiet lately, to be quite honest it’s because there’s a few too many things pulling on the attention span, projects, videos, ideas, they take bandwidth. We did however get to change a light board at spa to say Its Ok To Tlk.

Have been playing with an idea. A little torn between whether this needs to be simpler and bolder prototype camo, or whether to keep it matching the car.
