Oh yeah, the show post: Week 4 cfb, including an stress-free day for Bama, Florida’s awakening, a big day for the Texas D, and bad days for A&M, Michigan, and USC. Also a weird weekend in the NFL, and the MLB & WNBA playoffs.

It's entirely possible Greg passed out on me and we'll record tomorrow...

If you need a perfect example of why realignment is the dumbest shit ever: The University of MASSACHUSETTS is currently playing SACRAMENTO State in a MID-AMERICAN Conference game. The two schools are 2900+ miles apart.

Recorded tonight, but won't be able to edit tonight. Should get that done tomorrow evening, will of course update.

This week we recap Week 0 in college football, look ahead to the NFL season, and as we start to end things, realize we forgot to talk about Notre Dame again — so we talk about a loaded Notre Dame team that has their loftiest expectations since… Ron Powlus?

Predictions episode is up, and there are 5 programs that both of us predicted to win their conferences. So, apologies to those teams and fanbases for the curse that will doom your season.

Alright, the Bama/SEC preview is finally out. Is Bama flying under the radar? It all comes down to line play on both sides of the ball. SEC: More than just UGA and Texas. Which new coach will fare the best? The new 9th game makes for a lot of brutal schedules.

Alright, finally gonna record tonight (knock on wood)

Takin’ On Sports @takinonsports.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

As you can see there’s no episode out, schedules didn’t end up aligning. Still working to figure out a good night to get the show out to y’all.

Unfortunately we have to postpone tonight's recording -- Greg's AC went out and he's dealing with that. We'll keep y'all updated on this week's Alabama/SEC preview (always our most listened to episode).

Big 12 preview is up, wherein we talk about how the Big 12 has taken the spirit of PAC-12 After Dark and made it their entire identity.

Show is up, for better or worse. We cover the MLB trade deadline, news from FIFA, college ball, and more before previewing the Big Ten and their fifty-leven teams. I tried my best to fix audio issues, but I think some synching problems still made their way in as we work to find a new platform.

Josh Allen continues to be the world’s most overrated athlete, and Lamar continues to be disrespected. Yes, TD writes the skeets for this account, why do you ask?

Takin’ On Sports @takinonsports.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Good news: we ended up recording last night. Bad news: It was late and I’m old so I won’t get to edit until tonight.

Takin’ On Sports @takinonsports.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

A little heads up: flying solo dad while the wife is out of town for work, and the kiddo snuck in a late nap on the babysitter so he’s throwing a wrench into our recording schedule. Hopefully I can work some magic and get him down soonish and we can record, because Greg goes out of town tomorrow.

Got busy yesterday so I didn’t post until late, but we did put out our G6 preview. We talk about what intrigues us in each non-power conference, as well as Spain’s dominant World Cup win, and a few other things.

Quick summation of things we talked about: > The Belgium match was nothing short of embarrassing for the USMNT. Out-classed, out-hustled, out-everything. I thought we had a shot to catch an aging Belgian squad, but they showed why experience in big games matters. Why did we look so terrible?

Takin’ On Sports @takinonsports.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

Not looking good for getting this episode out. I thought it was just an issue of my mic getting disconnected, which would mean I'd sound like I did the show on a 2004 cell phone. Turns out there's glitches everywhere, maybe due to connection issues, who knows. I don't have the time or patience 1/?

Takin’ On Sports @takinonsports.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Ran into some audio issues while editing, couldn’t get them all worked out before bed. I’ll give it another go after work this evening and keep y’all updated.

000

Takin’ On Sports @takinonsports.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Unreal. No way in hell I thought this one would be close. Just thought Argentina had too much fire power. But Cape Verde is so well coached and my god do they fight until the bitter end.
