Squaresoft has sadly become the Final Fantasy 7 show. I’m so scared that it will turn out the same as how the entirety of Evangelion now is just selling new scantily clad figures of Asuka and Rei every year.

I’m more excited for how ridiculous they made Roger Jr. ☺️ They send you straight into the moon and it blows up! And the little Yoshi feet flutter ❤️

Elon Musk, famous for abandoning his kids for not being how he wants them to be, thinks it’s bad if you’re mean to a chatbot… Can someone PLEASE get us back to the universe we were supposed to have??

As an added bonus, you might have enough buttons there to play Steel Battalion.

Had an insane run at the end of the first stream :) ended with a 13:04.42 on Hard mode. That’s close to the fastest time I ever got, but this was on video. Maybe after kendo tomorrow, I’ll do some more runs!

Would anyone be interested in watching me stream runs of Tetris Attack and Panel de Pon? Maybe after work today…

I’m so damn close to a perfect Super Hard run on Tetris Attack, but Kamek took me out 8 times in a row before I took Bowser out in 43 seconds. This game so obviously cheats but… that’s how it is.

Nah. Trump is far from the whole shit. Perhaps a giant pile of shit, though.

Breaking News: Japanese men, while defending going to prostitutes and shaming women for how they are eating food, still baffled why women don’t want to get married or have kids.

I’m not an alcoholic! (8 drinks in) Well, NOW I’m tipsy. (I’ve always been a strong and safe drinker btw)

I literally know how to give my phone number and address in my second language. I even have to write it in kanji on forms. It’s ridiculous that knowing such basic information “doesn’t matter.”

If anyone needs art, music, or design, let me know. Things are getting difficult financially and I don’t think I’ll make it through the month, let alone the year. Healthcare is going up, many issues have come up, and I’m wondering what I can do to turn this around.

Also 40 here. I was sitting in 10th grade English class when they announced what happened over the PA, and we were all sent home. Crazy times… and they haven’t stopped since unfortunately. But hey… happy birthday? 😅 has to be super awkward.

I stressed out most of the day playing the line of demotion and promotion. Really want to lock in and hit GoD2 but it’s gonna take some real time and practice lol

Yeah, I’m a Tekken player and the DLC privilege is real. But they’ve gotten better about it recently (except Kunimitsu… screw that character… 🤣)

There is something to be said for DLC on fighters: 1. It guarantees all tournaments, regardless of their size, can access all characters. 2. It makes sure game balance also comes with characters. 3. The money supports the time put into making the characters. 4. Better for multiplayer.

I was on the outskirts of the FGC when I started playing fighters casually in the 90s. Got more into it in the early 2000s with CVS2 and Soul Calibur 2 through good friends. Then I really locked in after moving to Japan and hitting the game centers. Maybe not an OG, but I’ve been around a long time.

“Stark raving mad” is a gross understatement…

TakaComics / Shannon / シャノン @takacomics.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

For me it was a combination of being 5 years old asking “why can’t I be the mom?” when playing “House” with other kids, and later wanting to be characters like Sailor Uranus, Trini from Power Rangers, and Ranma (for the transformation, of course). It took until my 30s to finally admit I was enby.

Not at all. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Most shops use it for posters, it’s been shoved into Line and every other app on my phone, people use ChatGPT for all of their materials… it’s awful.

I trained as an illustrator and designer, and now everyone says “i’ll just use AI.” I became an ESL teacher, and now everyone is forcing me to use AI slop in my classes. Fuck, I just hate this world and I might quit and go back to the U.S. after this year. Nobody gives a shit about quality anymore.

The problem with the Nana movie is that it ends at the best part in the story to end it. Nana 2, which continues what happened in the manga, is not as good. The problem with Josei manga is that they need to always be ramping up the drama. Shit goes crazy after the events of the movie.
