Modelling the Alien fish for Madana 2.0 was fun and done in a couple of hours, from sketch to texturing in Substance Painter. They're not perfect, but I'm happy at how goofy they look, modelling more animals later.

Alien fish models, sketch on the left, textured results in the middle, unsubdivided models on the right

decent poly-count, what I love about using this method is I don't really need to retopo after. drawback is I can't really do fine detailing like when you sculpt models like this.

alien fish sketches, done on my Samsung tablet while having brunch outside

I love how the bottom fish looks so goofy with the false eyes on the dorsal fin

OMG this is amazing video work!!! The music is so spot on ❤️❤️❤️ I was inspired by Silent Mobius for the city styling so this very much fits that era of 90s anime golden age aesthetics 👍

Is this considered old fashioned now? To actually sketch out your ideas and collect references instead of prompting? I'm so much more comfortable exploring with sketching, digital or not.

Probably one of my most favorite Duran Duran songs and videos. Gives me nostalgia for the age of supermodels and rockstars. There was mystique back then, now it's just f-cking algorithms. Wonder if VRChat has fashion shows, would love to attend one. youtu.be/HRTM2ME9g5Q?...

What beings built the stone ruins, and who occupies them now? The ribbons of light in the sky silent witnesses to this world's past, anticipating it's future. In this place nothing lasts, but nothing is truly gone. @greybell.bsky.social

Sometimes I prefer my worlds to do the storytelling, there's no lore or explanation on what this place is or why it is the way it is, why large stone hands dot the landscapes in either gestures of supplication when facing up, or gestures of sheltering when facing down.
