Also it's fun seeing the variation in which characters got attacked. I expected to have some characters get more attacks than others, but I ended up with almost a perfectly even spread of each character getting One attack. it's weirdly satisfying

Yes I did speedrun basic sprite art for Trinity specifically so he could have matching icons (and character refs) with Skyler and Ethan lol (Also I may or may not have realised while playing tomodachi life that I'd been drawing apertures wrong the entire time. so that's fixed now)

A character reference page for my OC Trinity. He is a green themed robot boy with apertures for eyes. The bio also shows him as a robot cat with the same eyes.

Jokes aside a part of me had been kinda worried abt the 'AI' aspect aging poorly but honestly I've come around to it being the opposite, this game is still very much a Dystopia and definitely takes the line of 'even if you could make the AI sentient that would still probably be really fucked up'

The way I had to add an entire sequence into my VN of the main character asking the sentient computer program if they know how to build a pipe bomb so people will understand he's an AI (Cool Sci fi robot) and not an AI (plagerism machine)

Layered images have one base sprite I can layer different expressions or outfits on in game so I don't have to export a bajillion pngs. This means I have to remake the base sprite so it has separate face, clothes and arm layers so I can add them later. which means the base sprite looks like uh...

Finally a new os:tri update, yay! I've been working on giving Skyler and Ethan more expression variations like I did for the last sprite, Naomi. This would mean 40 different sprites per character just for the facial expressions tho... which is not ideal. so it's layered images time! #vndev #os:tri
