hello #webcomicday I write and draw an ask blog comic called Ask Keis that's currently on hiatus but I'm working on the script to a new and big story! ask-keis.webcomic.ws

Several comic panels showing a sergal appearing from behind a wall all sinister, then rushing down and shoving a skunk aside to plaster her silly face against the fourth wall to say "Hi!"

A plate of stacked taquitos is on a table next to a small bowl of guacamole and salsa. A rat named Adriana talks with keis at the table. Keis asks "Where's your sister?"
A: "Maria? She was accepted to the Corps."
K: "Wow! When was that?"
A: "Two days ago. What timing, huh?"
K: "Works for me. I'll have her portions!"
A: "Keis!"
Adriana looks sad as she talks. "She called and was just so...smiles all over! Been a while since I've seen her that happy."
Keis ignores the sad emotion. "My kid was ecstatic when her letter came. I totally get it."
A: "Yeah, but it's easy being happy for Rose. She rips out hearts and uses them as water balloons. You don't have to worry about her."
K: "Hey, she only did that once!"

black and white art, kyper-korune asks "Did you do anything for halloween?" And adriana, taras, and keis are sitting together watching a movie while dressed in costume. Taras grumbles "that anatomy has no scientific sense! How'd that even evolve? Why'd it even evolve?" Keis is dressed as a grim reaper, her face painted like an animal skull. "Who cares? Hawt alien!" Adriana looks up at Keis, and says "Yeah" softly. Keis' popcorn bucket has yellow warning stripes on it and a message that says "Place Popcorn Here. Note: Open Side Up"

Anonymous asks "If time is an illusion, does that make music more of a manipulation of the concept of time?" Keis gets out of the shower soaked and grabs a towel, drying herself off. "My recollection of theoretical physics is fuzzier than I am, but know that time is very real. Time is more than we previously thought. It's omnipresent. It's even multi-dimensional. It's not an arrow like so many believed. What does that even mean? Who knows!" Keis leans in looking tired to a steamed mirror that has been wiped clear. "Time only looks like an arrow from up here in the macroscopic world. What really happens is a singularity somewhere out there warps time so much that no matter what direction you go in time, you end up at the same spot. We can measure that curvature by observing the probability of causality violations at the quantum level. Reality tries to go towards different timelines, but at most it's a quantum jiggle, just barely wetting your quantum fingers in the waterfalls of other universes timelines. Imagine that, huh? So many other adventures, so many other songs...all just the width of a proton away."

An anonymous person asks "What helps you wake up in the morning and say, "Fuck it. let's keep moving forward?" and a user named thedepressedpossum asks, "Have you ever considered S U I C I D E?" An orange-furred sergal named Keis sits on a stone bench with a phone in her hands at the edge of a park with a golden-roofed city in the distance. "Considered suicide? Of course I have. When you're facing reconnection, don't know if you'll be cast out, and the odds are against you? Letting a future you deal with it is seductive. And when you finally make it, Heaven isn't what you thought it would be."

The phone in her hand displays a message that "Thay has blocked you". Keis slides the hood of her dress off her head. "That's when you realize you're at the edge, and, your fault or not, the flames of Hell are at your back, and it gets hotter with every moment that passes. So many think you want to die. No. It's not that. It's not like that at all. You don't want to die. You know you will die, and you can end it before the flames consume you. Why not jump?"

Keis is startled by shouting, and glances over one shoulder. Children are teasing someone, chanting "Cheese wedge!" over and over while the other child whines, "Nooo! Stop pushing me! That hurts! Oww! Leave me alone!" Keis leaps into the middle of the fray, protecting a small pink sergal child in a grass-stained white dress. Several kids of various species scatter, crying "Aieee!" as Keis screech-snarls, tail floofed.

Several mothers are aghast at the display of protection, a wolf mother reels while her son peers out from behind her skirt. A raccoon mother cradles her crying child in a crouched embrace. A cougar mother cups her hands to her mouth while her daughter pulls at her skirt. Keis rests on the grass with her own daughter, brushing blades of grass off her dress while the two mrrrrp to each other gently as the other families walk away, the wolf mother taking one last glance while muttering "Bitch." under her breath. Keis finishes her monologue, "Day and night, I prayed for reinforcements. Then I realized I am the reinforcements."
