Playing my dragonwilds main character (normal difficulty) for the first time since fellhollow's release and man combat feels SO much better now, between the hp changes and animation cancelling. genuinely enjoying it a lot, still haven't beat imaru tho

Definitely a step in the right direction! It's on the busy side though, and doesn't read well at a small scale. A more muted palette would fit the game well too (though sharper contrast used sparingly with the temporal gear on the newer one looks great)

alternatively, do smth like what veilguard does in that it has a seperate cc for the inqusitor, and only include the basic cc stuff included in rs3, but that one feels like a lot of work for little pay off, plus it alienates a lot of people who use custom items to style their character

At /best/ I think if rs3 introduces a quest where the player gets a unique (face covering) armour, and a diagetic explination for wearing that armour at certain times, then you could possibly have a WG stand in in dragonwilds without needing to go hard on character creation
