I printed out photocards to hand out alongside my freebies but they turned out much much bigger than i anticipated (i have no concept of scale apparently whoops).

Less wasn't a huge company in terms of staff numbers but since an actor from a super popular Netflix show had raved about their chocolate bars in an interview about a year ago (It tastes like real chocolate. You wouldn't believe that there is no sugar in this!), their sales had shot up, catapulting their chocolate bars onto supermarket shelves and online stores across the globe and with that the amount of customers seeking aid.
The Al Less had implemented on their website to answer that demand was completely useless, a tiny bandaid on an oozing wound, and by the time the customers were belched onto customer service's desk, they were anemic maybe, but seething. That was the point where Jimin took over. Wow, thanks.
Sometimes he thought they were about to crawl out of the screen like Sadako. Although, Jimin would argue that Sadako was a lapdog in comparison to some customers— especially ones from certain countries.
And in turn, more often than not, Jimin wanted to reach through the screen and throttle them.
Since Less had launched three new flavors last week, the influx of calls and emails was picking up in speed once again. Before working in customer service, Jimin had had a naive trust in the human intellect. How stupid could a question about fucking chocolate bars be, right? Right?!
He was working with Min Yoongi tonight, which was a blessing or a curse depending on how you looked at it. Min Yoongi was calm-suspiciously calm for someone working this job-never ripping his headset off and tossing it onto his desk after being yelled at, not even a harrumph. The first night they had worked together, Jimin had complained to him about a particularly stubborn customer who wanted a refund for a box of chocolate bars that they had already eaten, expecting some form of sympathy, maybe a similar anecdote from him, but had gotten nothing but an eyebrow raise which Jimin struggled to interpret.

Min Yoongi was the quiet type in general. He never talked about his weekends or joined in on company gossip. It made shifts with him feel a little lonely but made Jimin plow through his emails so quickly, that he sometimes had time to catch up on some reading for one of his classes.
I think he's stingy, one of Jimin's co-workers had claimed once over four steaming bowls of soft tofu stew (Yoongi had opted out of course). He's the oldest in our team. And he doesn't want to pay for our lunches every time. So he keeps his distance. That made sense. During Jimin's first month at Less, hehad learned that Yoongi was wasn't a student like the rest of the team but the only full-timer that had survived the implementation of that useless Al on the website. Apparently the company had decided to keep him because he didn't have a degree and they didn't have to pay him properly.
Another upside of working night shifts with Yoongi was that he always volunteered to take calls. Jimin was thankful because night shifts always meant that most calls came from abroad, and his TOEFL score he had listed in his résumé was great for reading papers in English, his colloquial English however wasn't good enough to talk to indignant customers about their chocolate bar issues.

Jimin glanced over at Yoongi. They had stopped using the overhead lighting a couple of months ago when its incessant, headache-inducing flickering had suddenly been accompanied by a humming that sounded like a big, poisonous insect. So the only source of light on the other side of the office was Yoongi's computer screen that doused his already pale face in a ghostly light as he was staring into it, his pink lips moving around what must be placating words. Yoongi's voice was deep and a little raspy as if he just woken up from a slumber. It was easy to imagine him lulling the person on the other end of the line into a state in which they threw themselves onto their backs, showing him their belly. And Jimin thought that he, too, would spread himself out in front of Min Yoongi if he was being talked to like that. Where the hell was that coming from all of a sudden?
Jimin crossed his legs and moved on to the next email, typing another variation of a formulaic and overly polite response. He hadn't even gotten the chance to wander out of the office for a few minutes, to stretch his legs and down a Less hot chocolate next to the coffee station in the cool, windowless hallway.
Past his screen, where the next inquiry of the never-ending chain of angry customers that the Al had forwarded to him, Yoongi was peeling himself out of his chair and towards the door in his slow, slightly hunched gait. The door clicked shut. Jimin kept typing.
Three emails later, the soft thud of something being set down right next to him. Before Jimin could say anything, Yoongi was already back at his desk again, taking the next call.
Gingerly, Jimin picked up the paper cup Yoongi had left. Warmth seeped through the flimsy material against Jimin's fingers. The sweet, creamy flavor of Less chocolate flooded his senses as he took a sip. And smiled.

i sifted through my wips but couldn’t find anything so i’m offering something from the opposite side of the spectrum.

Taehyung halted just two steps from where Jimin stood at the top of the stairs. He's so close now, Jimin could've easily kissed his forehead, framed by his angelic locks.
'I beg your pardon, sir, but I do not have a single silly bone in my body.' Tachyung's mouth fell open in mock-offense.
In the shadowy cleft of the stairway, his lips were two blots of ink. Jimin doused the urge to smudge them with his thumb. Ink stains were horrible to get rid of.
Instead, he asked, 'What are you doing down here?'

Despite the fact that they haven't crossed paths often, barely talked apart from the occasional stilted hello you throw an almost-stranger, he can conjure her up seamlessly: The soft swell of her chest under her t-shirt as she carries box after box into the apartment downstairs. Her dark hair, damp with sweat, curling at the nape of her neck as he opens the door to her knocking. Her milky legs, speckled with a conglomeration of mosquito bites among inky leaves that seep from under the seam of her jeans shorts. Her lips, rosy and brittle like petals drying out at the edges from the summer heat. They barely move as she speaks. My uncle and I she gestures vaguely —we're renovating the apartment downstairs. It could be a little loud, she says, threading together her words like an endless string as if afraid of leaving too much space between them.

She wants her lips to hurt tomorrow, her skin to bruise where he grabs her to flip them around, so she can straddle him. She wants to take the pain home as a souvenir; as a reminder that this really happened. That this isn't just another episode that rolls past in her imagination at night, head pressed into her pillow, fingers squelching between her legs.

Excellent choice

Throughout the past year, Jimin had tried not to dwell too much on the implications underneath the guise of a young gentleman touring the continent. Of course, Tachyung had relished the opportunities offered by cities like Paris; Jimin would've just preferred them to stay tucked between the blank spaces of the closely written letters that Taehyung had sent him. To remain vague silhouettes, briefly mentioned characters in a novel who faded into obscurity as soon as one turned the page rather than reminding Jimin that he wasn't... that he would never... that he...

Namjoon wiggles around to the beat of the music. Over the bobbing, swaying puddle of heads, their eyes meet. Namjoon smiles at him. Lifts his hand to give him a tiny wave. Warm tingles again. They spread deliciously in Jeongguk's stomach, bubble up in his chest, pull the corners of his mouth like a rubber band, ready to sling a spitball at the back of your crushes head in the middle of class. But before Namjoon can comb the projectile out of his hair with his rangy fingers and scan the classroom for the culprit; before Jeongguk can shyly lift his hand just enough to catch his attention, and mouth that it was an accident that he didn't want to hit him, Namjoon's attention gravitates to someone else.

not wednesday but here’s a snippet of something i wrote today.

In hindsight, there were signs of Namjoon and [redacted] relationship failing. A hairline
crack that is easy to ignore. Just a trace of usage, of time. A moment of negligence. A flask of cologne, or a jar of moisturizer that slipped from your grasp, chipping off a miniature piece of the layer holding everything together. It's fine. It's going to be fine. Happens to the best of sinks.
