The final chapter of always be my baby is now up. I don’t have the words to say everything I want to about this story coming to a close (though you’ll laugh at that if you make it through my authors note lol) so: thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy archiveofourown.org/works/391666...

I’ve never seen arcane either so I just had this nagging like “I know this voice” feeling until I realized lmao

010

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 03/02/2025

Lmao kind of?? there’s an audio clip of her saying “because you know in a moment in could all…boom” and yes people are using it in videos with either on screen text or captions with information about the horrors

110

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 03/02/2025

Really crazy times when the audio being used as a backdrop in videos about the literal fascist takeover of the united states is a clip of ella purnell’s voice acting…..my brain is really struggling to parse any input right now and this is really pushing it over the edge

Researching mythological associations with the infinity symbol and seeing the phrase “eternal return” everywhere I’m sure that means nothing

When did you fall out of love with dad? It's not that...it’s so complicated. With your dad and me, there's a lot of baggage. Baggage? You mean jackie.

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

This is so funny bc I have not gotten to s2 yet this is purely about s1 lmao. it’s a LOT with Ben lol and her date in the pilot etc

120

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

Honestly everything she’s just around men a lot or thinking about men a lot lmao

Rereading the first two fics in this series to hopefully finish the third and apparently I wrote melissa pov back in october 2023

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

But she def looks more like ella than either shauna to ME

150

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

This won’t be what happens I’m sure it’s a flashback and Shauna’s mom I just never thought we’d get younger shauna for some reason tbh

250

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

all I’m saying is slap a shitty blonde wig on her and she’s the life ruining obsessive affair that makes adam look like nothing

1110

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

Misty is the only one who does things that make me cringe so hard I still have a physical reaction after this many rewatches. I can’t tell if that’s actually down to her behavior itself or if it’s that the behavior is often related to men and that’s the part that gets me

Travis should never have been allowed to touch the gun again btw sometimes I wonder if I’m remembering it right and I assume I’m making it worse in my head but actually I think I forget just how bad it was

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

SEVERELY underrated scene is Mari doing the practice shots and almost making the hunter cut. When she turns around in her yellow hoodie and yells SHUT UP TRAVIS phenomenal I love her bad

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

Bonus points for the wave of nausea every time javi comes on screen, extra bonus points every time shauna interacts with him

Rewatching season one and crying every time adult nat comes on screen because it’s finally sunk in that she really went out like that (yes I am currently on bear down)

One of my favorite things about jackie is that not only does she hate men she also visibly loses respect for women who like them in front of her

1253

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

S1 rewatch continues and I think one of the threads I’m most disappointed they’ve seemingly dropped is Sammy and his behavioral/trauma/implicitly questionably supernatural stuff. It felt like they were building that to something bigger with it and they fizzled out and redirected

YELLOWJACKETS ZINE IS OUT!! I wrote a piece for this and there are some very incredible submissions by some wonderful fandom artists and writers, check it out here: nainabanaina.itch.io/save-our-souls a million thanks to @staghunters.bsky.social for putting this together 💛

Thank you for putting this together!!!! Incredible beautiful phenomenal!!!!

030

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 25/01/2025

I have to be honest. The thing that requires me to suspend the MOST belief on yellowjackets is that nobody killed misty quigley in a fit of rage. “But she was their doctor—“ Akilah was right there, AND they agreed to kill their best hunter at one point so I don’t want to hear that

1212

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 25/01/2025

The juxtaposition of shaunajeff and taisimone scenes makes it clear how awful shauna+jeff’s relationship is and how miserable shauna is in it. Neither of them are able to commit to their families but tai is actually enjoying simone most of the time tbh. also clear that shauna is the one CAGED tf in

0150

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 25/01/2025

Every time I watch f sharp and taissa comes home with the apology pastelitos she gets hotter. it shouldn’t be possible to get hotter than the hottest a person can possibly be. and yet. we keep going up

0120

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 25/01/2025

Continuing my rewatch and misty tourniqueting travis’s arm for a cut that had already stopped bleeding is sending me. she is trying to collect men’s limbs she wanted that arm too

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

I do tend to think the hillary swank ship has set sail….mari and akilah are prob going to be the highest emotion wilderness deaths left to come…but I believe in their ghosts there with jackie and laura lee tbh I really think they’re doing a death isn’t the end thing with this show

nothing on tv will ever touch the yellowjackets pilot paloma faith never tear us apart montage for me. I’m afraid that’s the peak

2111

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Turned the pilot on and realized it’s the perfect amount of days from the s3 premiere to watch one ep a day, and then rewatch the entirety of s1 and the entirety of s2 in the two days left before the premiere…and those two days happen to be my days off work. so now I’m very busy for the coming weeks

Ohhh I sure am!! It’s the third installment in my “prolong the night” series, aka my Jackie doesn’t freeze au series where I’ve ended up writing a piece each jackieshauna weekend thus far, and have had them planned since the first one! The prompt this was originally based on was “jealous stares”

050

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Omg the perfect beautiful lesbian sunset!!! You guys amaze me thank you thank you the doodles are everything to me

170

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Lol that’s okay! And love it!! Why not!! I can’t say I necessarily would assume that’s the case from the text of the show personally, but I certainly don’t think it’s outside of the realm of possibility! and I’m very pro exploring various circumstances for characters just for the sake of exploring

140

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

—and I think that jackie does struggle to pick up on certain things but overall she’s much more inactive than unaware post crash. Once she finds out the things shauna has done and said about her she is too depressed to do anything even if she knows what she could do

100

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Oh yeah Jackie is not stupid and I think people lean into a stereotype that just isn’t present in the text but would USUALLY be for a lot of things for her tbh. One of my favorite parts of s2 was the nice SAT word hallucination jackie scene bc Shauna even knows she underestimates her out of habit—

110

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Jackie is the kind of enthusiastic jewish convert who gets far more into the religion than her partner, shauna loves to cook for jackie/watch her eat, they both sleep in incredibly late on days off, they start projects around the house themselves but fizzle out and have to hire someone to finish

140

tabitha two 🔪 @tabithatwo.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Did you mean to put a character after this?
