Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 07/08/2026On Monday, our Democratic candidates attended the AFL CIO Conference in Montgomery, and asked for their endorsement. It's a shame that the Party Chair didn't come today. Shame that he didn't come last fall when Labor Leaders asked for a meeting with state party leadership. 031
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Surely if the DNC knew about these problems in Alabama, they would do something, right?!? Oh, they know. Here's what they've said Alabama MUST do for this Saturday's meeting. It's all hands on deck to document the myriad ways in which they are violating this Order. 010
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 06/08/2026Remember when Randy Kelley sued the Alabama Democratic Party because it elected Representative Chris England as Chair? This frivolous lawsuit, which he lost, cost the party quite a bit of money. www.al.com/news/2021/01...al.com 121
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 06/08/2026In the letter shown below, Joe L Reed instructs local ADC leaders to ask for money from ADP County Committees and from candidates. He does this despite the fact that a county party giving money to ADC would be illegal. (It's called a PAC to PAC transfer.) 131
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 04/08/2026When my Senate Campaign bought an ad from the Alabama Democratic Conference in April (on a check made out to the Alabama Democratic Conference), I asked for a receipt. Despite multiple requests for clarity, this is all they would give me. 132
Reposted by Tabitha IsnerDon Brown @gettheflick.bsky.social · 01/08/2026I rediscovered this podcast. From Dec. 2019, you might think it's old news. You'd be wrong. Randy Kelley is Chairman of the #Alabama #Democratic Party. Joe Reed is still the power behind the throne. Doug Jones is running for Governor. @tabithak.bsky.social is still trying to make a difference.open.spotify.com#152 The Real Enemy, Part 1Reply All · Episode 132
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Chairman Kelley's contempt for me made national news. I took his criticism of me seriously. If I wasn’t able to earn his trust by demonstrating competence and initiative, maybe I could earn his trust by doing less, being less visible. (Spoiler alert, it didn't work.) 031
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Jared Sluss is running for State Senate District 7 because he believes that loving your neighbor isn’t a slogan. It’s a responsibility our leaders must reflect in the choices they make and policies they fight for. ATTN: This district is WINNABLE! 062
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 30/07/2026As the 2022 election was approaching, I was deeply concerned about voter protection (in light of the election denialism of 2020). I was attending meetings with state party leaders from other states and learning about how other states do Voter Protection (aka VoPro). 131
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Spencer Stone teaches teens about computer science in public schools. He's running against 89-year-old Jabo Waggoner, who has been in the Alabama legislature since 1966.👀 I'm proud to endorse him for the Alabama State Senate, District 16. 164
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 28/07/2026Chairman Kelley (head of the Alabama Democratic Party) made it clear to me very early in our 4-year term that he didn't want me to do anything at all. I asked repeatedly for approved ways to be helpful, but I was firmly rejected. 321
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Remember when attorneys for Alabama (the notorious Bill Lunsford & partners) got caught using AI to write their legal briefs, which included completely fabricated citations? The AL Dept of Corrections wants to hire him again and give him even more of our tax dollars. 182
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 24/07/2026“I’m running because I’ve seen what 15 years of a Republican supermajority in the state legislature has done for this state, and it’s not been very good things,” Christian Martin, Democratic Nominee for AL HD16! 021
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Attorney General Steve Marshall has weighed in. Voters can choose either party's primary for the August 11 Special Primary. In Congressional Districts 1, 2, and 7, there's no Democratic ballot, so you just march right in and pick the Republican ballot. Let's make some #goodtrouble 031
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 23/07/2026The Alabama Democratic Party is governed by a board called the State Democratic Executive Committee (approx 250 people). The members of the SDEC were elected in the Primary on May 19th and will meet in Montgomery on August 8th (11am to 6pm) to elect officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, etc.). 011
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 22/07/2026I first met Allison Montgomery several years ago at a Pride event. She is a young woman, but she has been advocating for a more just Alabama for years. Her commitment and clarity of vision is exactly what we need in the Alabama State House. Let's get her elected in House District 25! 021
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 22/07/2026What does the State Democratic Party do? (Part 1) The official (required) duties of a party are largely administrative. Lots of boring paperwork. 111
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Alabama Democrats just keep proposing an end to taxes on groceries. Alabama Republicans just keep saying no. This isn't some deeply held conviction. Republican legislatures in other states have allowed the state to stop taxing groceries. But not Alabama Republicans. No, siree. 032
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 21/07/2026See that one dot that stands all alone? That's Alabama! Nationwide, the average margin of victory in the general election for State House seats is 28%. In Alabama, it's 57%, meaning most races are won by a huge margin. That makes Alabama dead last in the nation for competitive seats. 011

Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Frustrated with money in politics? Well, I've got some bad news. The National Republican Senatorial Committee just won a case at the Supreme Court to make it easier for wealthy donors to influence elections. 222
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 17/07/2026These are the current officers of the Alabama Democratic Party. Reed and Kelley do all the hiring of party staff, sometimes including Ben or Ed. None of the other officers have ever been invited to a staff meeting or officer meeting nor been included in any decision. 131
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 16/07/2026Rudolph Drake is our Democratic Nominee for AL State Senate District 2 (Huntsville area). He served in the Navy and then in the Department of Defense. Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 16/07/2026My first trip to the Alabama Democratic Party HQ after being elected Vice Chair a few days earlier. I took the photo, then left. I didn't mention that Chair Kelley had my ADP email account turned off that morning, and had a staffer call to un-invite me to Orientation that day. 000
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Donald Trump apparently made more than $2.2 billion in 2025. That's nearly four times as much as he made in 2024. Most of it comes from cryptocurrency, real estate, and merchandise sales. The hat below goes for $55, profits go to him, not to our armed forces. Not cool. 022
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 15/07/2026What more could you want from your Alabama State Treasurer than an experienced & highly sought-after banker who is accustomed to dealing with budgets in the billions? Rosilyn Houston is a rock star and I can't believe we got lucky enough to have her on the Democratic ticket! 011
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I love my country and my state. I love it enough to want the absolute BEST for it and to be willing to sacrifice for it. That means I'm willing to talk about its flaws because I think we can address those flaws. And I'm here to do my part. 021
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 14/07/2026All of Mobile is now in Congressional District 1, which means that you need to get to know your Democratic nominee, Clyde Jones! Ask him your questions, meet his team, and then JOIN the team! 011
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 11/07/2026I was elected Vice Chair of the Alabama Democratic Party on August 13, 2022. I ran for Chair and didn't win, but I was eager to serve any way I could, so I ran for Vice Chair. If I'd lost that, I'd have run for Secretary. I just wanted to be on the team and be able to contribute. 041
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 11/07/2026Pam Howard, Dem for House District 40 noticed the flag at the Public Safety complex was getting tattered after the storms, so she brought them a new one. Then she took the tattered flag to American Legion - Post 57 for a proper flag retirement ceremony. I'm proud to back Pam! 011
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 11/07/2026Alabama brackets are nothing but byes. No wonder most people aren't interested in politics. 010
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 10/07/2026If you vote Democrat, YOU ARE THE PARTY. If the party isn't what you want it to be, you have the power to change it. But don't expect it to be easy. Changing culture doesn't happen just by wishing, it requires hard work! (And I really want to PARTY with you!) 042
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 10/07/2026🚨🚨🚨 The bipartisan decline in primaries is correlated with a decline in democratic participation. This should ring alarm bells for everyone who wants a functioning democracy! 🚨🚨🚨 021

Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 08/07/2026If you're in the blue section in the middle here (near the Birmingham airport), you used to be in Congressional District 7 (Terri Sewell) and now you are in Congressional District 6 (Gary Palmer). No one else in Jefferson County changed districts. The Primary is August 11. 011
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 08/07/2026Debra Foster is one of our most experienced candidates running for the State House. She served for 12 years on the Anniston City Council, and she was the first African American to serve as Vice Mayor of Anniston. District 32 is an open seat after Barbara Boyd (D) retired. 031
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 07/07/2026Rick Pressnell is a Marine running for Alabama State House, District 2. Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 07/07/2026Angela Morgan is running for State Board of Education in District 6. Where's District 6? Great question because the SBOE map is TOTALLY different than the Congressional map! (It has 8 districts instead of 7.) Angela is a retired educator and she is committed to improving parent relations. 021
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 05/07/2026The Alabama Reflector article undersells how big a shift we saw in this Primary Runoff. The whole state saw a 52% increase in Democratic ballots in the Primary Runoff, but the increase in the 5th Congressional District was phenomenal! Way to go 5th Congressional District Dems! 021
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Most Alabamians don't vote or vote some of the time. But there are heroes walking among us who vote EVERY TIME. These people deserve to be recognized. Are you a SUPER VOTER?! Find out at www.tabithaisner.com/supervoters 052

Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 04/07/2026Does it feel like there aren't many elections on your ballot? It's not just you. Only 1/3 of seats in the Alabama House of Representatives will be contested on the November ballot. That means that 2/3 of Alabamians will not have a choice in who represents them in the state legislature. 131
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 28/06/2026Pissed off about this "new" and "special" election for Congress? Pissed at the arrogance of changing the maps mid-election? Well, Chris Pringle (Republican from Mobile) was the author of that bill. So let's send him a message, shall we? Vote Joan Friedlander instead! 034
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 27/06/2026The Alabama Public Service Commission will soon have SEVEN members instead of THREE. Five of the seven are appointed by Governor Ivey. All of this because they saw that a wave of reform was headed for the PSC, and they had to protect their APCo overlords. 131
Tabitha Isner @tabithak.bsky.social · 27/06/2026If you live in Congressional District 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7, there will be NO Democratic Primary on August 11. If you live in Congressional District 1, 2, or 7, you CAN vote in the Republican primary if you wish. This is not considered "crossover voting." Perfectly legal. 162
