Alex Jeffrey Pretti was executed by a U.S. federal agent while trying to protect a woman. That’s the headline.

Another execution by ICE today??? WTF!!!!! ICE must be shut down. We cannot have armed thugs roaming our streets murdering and kidnapping people any longer.

I can’t stop thinking about how we don’t even know how many people ICE has murdered off-camera. We know it’s not zero, but what’s the upper bound? Every death and disappearance is a potential execution when they seem to believe no killing is unjustified.

@brennawomer.bsky.social has a new free digital chap in petrichor 29, Dear Mom, in which erasure is the content of the letter. petrichormag.com/current-issue/
Page from Brenna Womer's Dear Mom: four-sided pieces of material overlapping in a way that only leaves the words "Dear Mom/I feel/and/I feel/and."

Right wing media says she “called herself a poet” as an insult. She was a poet. May she inspire more to be poets. We can never have enough as the world grows more evil and cold.

Poetry as ritual. Ritual as resistance. What do you return to when writing fails you?

“Tabi Po” is what you say when entering wild places, a request to pass through unseen realms with care. It’s also a poetry altar. A gathering of spirits, voices, grief, and joy. Join us every third Sunday. You’ll be welcomed with poems and warmth. #poetry #tabipopoetry
