The revolt happened when the government attempted to seize control of YouTube, social media, and messaging apps to quell a growing anti-corruption outcry. At least 20 people are dead and 300 injured, protestors killed the former PM's wife and chased the finance minister into a river and beat him.

Protestors in Nepal overthrew the government in less than 48 hours due to corruption. They refused a curfew, spread protests across all cities, fought police in roaming street battles, burnt down politicians' houses, stole military weapons, stormed the parliament & burnt it, forced the PM to resign.
