The erhu in the opening… ily… i was starting to feel apathetic with the trailers for some reason like i was getting fandom fatigue or smth but my excitement is back. I’m so ready. I have so many art ideas already. They’ll almost all be on tumblr so check it out if you want (NOT SPOILER FREE!)

These two saw human playing cards and decided to make them their whole personality, I guess #splatoonart

Nvm I found a way to play raiders and it’s called borrowing someone else’s copy and switch 2. This game is fun what the hell

How dare you all have fun without me /lh

Obligatory “please don’t pry or assume things about my mental state just because I made a silly drawing about mental health”

I wanna make stickers but I keep getting distracted with other art ideas when trying to make designs lol

Mild flashing warning (?) Speedpaint! Someday I’ll finish the Maomao version in my huge pile of wips… someday… #theapothecarydiaries #薬屋FA #jinshi

[WIP] Listen it’s not my fault this scene is so fun to draw. First reference image is the light novel

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

I won’t be surprised at all if that’s the case. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see

020

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

I think there’s a chance they’ll acknowledge it because they did so with the octarians. But there’s also the chance they won’t, or perhaps just not in raiders. Already with salmon run I’m like yeah we’re playing as the bad guys

120

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

First it was octarians, then it was salmonids. Even though splatoon’s gameplay is fun, I think we should acknowledge the “race that is ok to kill” angle it gives the player character. This is why I’ll never let go of the view that OE is a racism/eugenics allegory. Or maybe I’m being too woke idk

I apologize (sort of not really considering I said I’d do more variety months ago anyway) for the lack of splatoon. Pearlina art next month probably

Suddenly got the urge to discard my human sona and become a slime or something instead

020

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

I realized way too late that I was working in a different colour profile than usual but it should be fine…

010

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Oh yeah. I’m referring to why “inconsistent” seems to have such a negative connotation to the point people apologize for it. Too many artists treat themselves like machines, and that takes such a huge toll mentally. Sorry if I’m misunderstanding you 😅

110

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Of course, working for like a company in which you NEED consistency is another story. But I assume you’re talking about making art independently

110

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

As someone who has said that before, if not just inexperience, I think it’s largely the social media/marketing (if you sell art) pressure of needing a consistent style or brand. Like you’ll see people asking how you chose your art style. So experimentation/range is labelled as inconsistency instead

Oooohohohohoho texture >:))) The newer default painting brushes are nice. Idk how new they are but they weren’t there last time I tried

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 08/06/2026

I mean I still have one but I haven’t touched it since I moved to bluesky 🙃

Synth Blue Flavour @synth3xanh.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

I’ve had procreate for years and I’m finally learning how to use it. Because let’s be real medibang isn’t… the best. I’m just so used to it that procreate’s UI and stabilizer threw me off whenever I tried 😓

If I have motivation to do splat oc stuff again, I wanna present them properly this time. I probably don’t have the energy for a full storyline/series, but I feel like I’ve been too careful and sanitizing them for the internet. Also some slight redesigns might be underway wowee

Thank you and yes!! It’s an anime/manga/light novel series. This is just one scene from s2 and it’s not really representative of it lol. I’ve actually been posting more fan art to tumblr and deciding what I want to carry over to here

This only took so long because I kept editing it and wanting to redo it, but I wanna move on to the next thing so here you go wheeee
