if you made art this year, you did well. a sketch, even if it was scrapped ; a poem, even if it was deleted — mattered. you put thought to paper, you engaged with the creative alchemy of turning feeling to something tangible. doesn't matter if you weren't productive "enough." or good "enough."

and I'm gonna start 2025 with my writing tracker again. it worked amazing for me on November so I'm hoping to do it again. exams kind of messed up the rhythm I had going on but that's life. the good thing is that I can simply start again 💖

also, I've been thinking about the book I wanna finish this year with but, most importantly, start the new one! this year I started it with virginia woolf and I'm tempted to do the same with 2025, she just gets me

I'm eternally grateful for that professor who insisted on teaching us how to write academic essays correctly bc it forced me to memorize the APA style and now I incorporate it into my writing without wasting a single minute second guessing or searching for info

next year I want to start waking up early, like 5/6am. I love watching the sun slowly coming out of the horizon for half an hour without feeling the pressure of the outside world. I love it when the world is quiet and I can just exist.

It's funny that i'm my most productive and focused when I'm on my bed. I guess it has to do with the fact that my body is comfortable so my mind can focus on working and not in finding new ways to sit.

every time I spend days without writing I get really ansty. it feels as if words get stuck inside my chest and they get heavier the longer I don't let them out. it's a strange feeling. I don't think I could ever live without writing fiction.
