As he got back to his desk, Aerina was looking at her watch. Her expression, who had before been one of confusion and wonder, had turned into a frown.
He barely sat down and took a pen, when she said, “Mister Guard, I have an important ask.”
“Okay, shoot,” he said, hoping it was something she remembered.
“Have you found a case in the vicinity where you found me? Black leather, enforced with brass?”
Jerry looked at her, and only now, with her suit jacket half off, did he notice some red splashes on the front of her vest and shirt. The pen slipped from his fingers.
“What is it? I really need that case.”
Jerry ignored her, he jumped up and went to the officer stationed by the door. “John, please bring that woman into the interrogation room. Cuffed.”

I actually have that one in 'Fusion Punk buddy cop' (working title) Some unnecessary detail when taking blood samples.

“Nice costume, where did you get it from?”
“It was tailored on my form by Legier&Watson in New Jersey.”
“Hm, I’ve never heard of that shop,” Max was putting on nitrile gloves while talking. “And it's personalised. That must've been expensive.”
“Yes, indeed. I have to take good care of it. I was of the impression that my revelry suit would be enough for most parties, but my captain…” Aerina’s voice broke. “...my captain…”
“Are you okay?” Jerry asked.
For a moment, Aerina looked into the distance, then she snapped back. “Yes, I am fine,...”
Max didn't let himself get out of the groove, and they further prepared for taking Aerina's blood. It would be collected in two sample tubes; these had to be primed by pulling on a plug like on a plastic syringe to create underpressure.
“Alright.” Max was finally ready with the needle. “I have to take a bit of your blood, is that fine?”
“Up to 200 mL, there shouldn't be any problems.”
Max blinked. “No, I only need like…” he showed the two tubes. “...this much.”
“Ah, certainly. That is not a problem then.”

“Under that of the New York police department,” Verinez said and showed the badge on her belt.
Aerina squinted, deep in thought, then she widened her eyes. “Oh, you're guards. Then of course I will oblige.” She put her hand in the side pocket of her jacket and pulled out a small paper book, which she handed to Jerry. “As you can see, everything is in order. I would just need to get to the consulate, and then everything is cleared up, and I may be transferred back to my country.”
Jerry took the passport and opened it. It showed Aerina in an analogue photo next to a transparent window. The data below was typed by a typewriter. Her date of birth was given as 1997-05-32. There was an engraved emblem with an eagle on the right side of the passport, with the letters EASU on its body.

Soon-to-be Detective Jerry Draks got out from the passenger side of the minivan directly onto the curb next to the parking-prohibited sign. He had some concerns that people won’t recognise that car as a police vehicle, but then again, the officers in the vicinity had something else to do than go after parking violations.
“Thanks again for letting me take part in this,” he said to Detective Verinez.
The tall, latino women made a dismissive gesture. “Don't worry about it. Sooner or later, the Captain will see reason.”
Jerry scoffed. “Are you sure?”
“There aren't many other options. Joe has an old man back, and I’m also a mother now, and that takes priority,” she said. “If you show how good you are, he’ll promote you by the end of the month.”
