These are located in Preferences > Chat Windows, near the bottom. You can also just disable all group chats if you like. The way I have mine set up here, I can only receive group chats from friends. It's great.

So it's the left with hair on top vs right with head/lashes on top. To me one is much less obtrusive than the other, but this will depend on your hair, your lashes, and angle of viewing. Swapping the priorities is always an easy fix when taking pictures.

I figured it out. Depending on what angle you're viewing my avatar from, the hair OR the eyelashes need to be rendered on top, so unfortunately I have to choose which is least obnoxious. I chose to have my eyelashes disappear behind my hair vs the lashes causing an ugly alpha glitch End result

Carefully held in his mouth is a small potion bottle with inky black liquid inside, a wide brimmed, black hat is perched on his head, his fluffy tail arcs up behind him to the right. He wears a thin, cotton, super cropped hoodie in black & white, leaving his torso & midriff completely bare aside from black & white tape over his nipples. White, glowing particles cling to and swirl around his form, in stark contrast to the warm glow of the lanterns hanging from the wooden beams that hold up the deck above and behind him. A sturdy wooden ladder behind the feline leads up to the upper deck. A nearly identical ash grey deck fills the lower half of frame, & beyond that golden tinted waves stretch out to meet a distant barren shore that's just a strip of brown and green across the horizon.
