listening to the knytt underground soundtrack on my bigass speakers while drawing is entrancing. that bass is so clean when played on something that can convey it

it's kind of funny how things can just happen like this

The domino meme, where on the bottom right is the text "Merchant character from Dragon Quest 4 gets a spin-off title where he gets treasure from a dungeon to provide for his family", referencing the first ever Mystery Dungeon game, Torneko's Great Adventure. On the top left at the big domino is the text "People want to turn into Pokemon", referencing how the creation of the Mystery Dungeon series led to the creation of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and its plot involving the main character being a human transformed into a Pokemon, causing a lot of people to recognize their love for Pokemon transformation as well as other related aspects.

Battle Wizard's barding with tack assembly, standard issue Federation equipment. Note: Intrinsic properties of apprentice appear to permit non-Euclidean melding with anterior fur tufts. Further testing needed.

PMD needs basic attacks (A button) cause I like to think that canonically, high lvl Pokemon from outside of a dungeon are self aware enough to know that if they use a move instead of a basic attack on a much lower lvl Pokemon that they might just straight up kill them and they don't want to do that

WINNING PATREON SUGGESTION FOR AUGUST! (yes it's late, it took a while) Noivern DJ'ing a rave [suggested by Neko-Boi]

pokemon fanart of noivern djing a colorful rave at night, zapdos making some rainbow lightning in the background, pokemon involved are smeargle(smirking at the viewer) zeraora raising it's arms up, toxicroak enjoiny the show, zoroark dancing, exploud having a blast, gay arceus vibing, jolteon leaping into the crowd, porygon z notices the lightning, noibat mom watching her noivern son do his best dj show, delibird making a glowstick rain, misdreavus catching one. servine enjoying the show, as well as lunatone, whimsicott, and a curious shiny mew peeping overhead.
this picture took too long.

Combining this with my prior idea of slight model randomization akin to CSGO knife patterns, this would be a more dynamic way of expressing yourself as a pokemon trainer that aligns more with the theme of training/raising. Ideas like this go to show how much more interesting pokemon could be (5/5)

000

syloui @syloui.lythiox.com · 23/08/2026

Perhaps these imprints would become permanent as a reflection of the influence the player had during the raising of that pokemon into its later evolutionary stages. These changes might be influenced further during mid-evo stage, but permanent impression by final stage, making pokemon signature (4/5)

syloui @syloui.lythiox.com · 23/08/2026

For instance say you're a bit more of an aggressive type of player rather than a strategic one, then a pokemon you evolve might skew it's model's styling more aggressively. Or if say your character has a certain hair color, that color might appear as streaks in a pokemon's fur/skin pattern (3/5)

100

syloui @syloui.lythiox.com · 23/08/2026

Put simply: your personality as a player, your customization of your character, and the pokemon's nature might imprint on your pokemon. I.e. when evolving your pokemon it would be neat if it's aesthetic was influenced by you the player as well as the pokemon's nature (2/5)

100

syloui @syloui.lythiox.com · 23/08/2026

non-pmd thought but trying to expand on my prior ideas regarding features in the mainline games for customizing your pokemon. In addition to the cosmetics I brainstormed before, it would be neat if you the player had an imprinting effect on your pokemon's development. (1/5)

pmd romhack but all it does is add a random name generator for pokemon so you're not the only one with a name that isn't your species (also gives the NPCs names) would that be immersion killing? some PMD comics explain away this issue as formal social norms (only close acquaintances use real names)

cubone protag of pmd is intriguing to me given the lore of that species. obviously a human turned cubone skull helmet would not be from an actual marowak, would that instead mean they inherit existential grieving for a mother that didn't exist? or would that translate into grieving their past life?

welp!! resting my wrist for Too Much Drawing. so here is a piece I still love very much! First visit to Lively Town #pmdday #pmd #pokemonmysterydungeon

A digital illustration depicting a scene from Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. The Blue Buddies - Riolu and Piplup - visit Lively Town. The town has vibrant, colorful buildings that look almost like something out of a fairy tale. It's crowded and lively, with many many pokemon around. The legs of a bird-like Pokémon, Doduo, act as a foreground frame as Riolu and Piplup walk hand in hand so they won't get lost. Tones are warm and inviting, with yellow and purple hues.
