So, my wife is a bit angry at me. I happened across the holy grail of retro TVs.. for free? It's a 72 inch Rear Projection TV with 9 inputs, original 5K 1080p, less than 100 hours on the projector, front facing audio and it looks AMAZING... My boss said I could just take the TV that used to be 6K.

Siloed, silent, and completely unable to do the job you're hired to do because you're being "Too Technical minded" as a troubleshooter. "Quit overthinking and just keep the customer happy." In the end... we force rebooted the machine without permission this afternoon and fixed the issue.

the tech asks, it gets escalated up to 2nd level... then to 3rd... then to the owner who then comes down hard on all the techs because our customer service sucks. Not to mention the new rule about working or training only, making it feel like you're setting in a jail cell of a cubicle.

I know this probably isn't just Internet Safety... mostly just best practice in life as a whole... Use some really basic common sense whenever you look at anything on the internet. If it seems TOO GOOD to be true, it most definitely is and for the most part your gut instinct is always correct.

I love my Kubuntu Server... I use it for hosting a multitude of storage options around the house like books and movies. I use a Plasma KDE overlay if you're looking for one. I've not had any major issues in almost a year now.
