Hard to believe it's Lammas already! May I take this season to reflect on my personal harvest and feel gratitude for my blessings.

I visited the Columbus Art Museum this week, and loved the way the sunlight highlighted this statue. This was my first visit to #CMoA, but it won't be my last! #quiet #statue #photography #blueskyartshow

Photograph of a statue of a semi-reclining nude woman. The statue is reflected in a reflecting pool. Sunlight highlights the woman's torso and head. Trees and a hedge can be seen behind the statue, and also reflected in the water.

My first time attempting indirect warping. I discovered this hair clip helps me keep the threads in order while I thread them onto the heddle. (Please excuse my improvised lease sticks. As a new weaver, I was not fully prepared for this crucial step!) #weaving #rigidheddle #indirectwarping

Closeup of a rigid heddle loom partially warped with rainbow gradient yarn. A flat metal hair clip holds a group of yarn ends waiting to be threaded into the heddle.

Today is the 3rd anniversary of my last run before coming down with #COVID, and 3 years of #longCOVID. #Running was one of my favorite things, and I miss it deeply. I took this blurry photo on that early morning run. #cfs #mecfs #disability

A blurry photo of winter trees in front of a body of water. The photo is dark and moody, and the color enhanced sky is shades of blue and purple.

Happy #ForestFriday! This sweetgum looks majestic holding onto its #autumn colors in the wake of an early November snowfall. #landscapephotography #photography

Photo looking up at a sweetgum tree with yellow autumn foliage. The leaves are frosted with white from an early snow fall, as are the bare limbs of the trees that can be seen in the background. A gray-white cloudy sky can be seen through the branches.

Holidays lead to a significant amount of wasted food that ends up in landfills. To minimize this, create a plan to eat leftovers, donate them, & get creative in the kitchen. Bring the remaining food to one of the City's food scraps drop-off sites, where it will be composted. columbus.gov/foodwaste

“Fascism” isn’t a slur for politics we don’t like. It’s a precise word with precise meaning. And in the face of what’s happening right now in America, it’s the most honest one we have. I’ll lay it out as plainly as I can. 🧵

Today is the first day of astronomical autumn, and where I live in Ohio we are definitely in ecological autumn as well. The sweetgum trees are dropping their leaves, and maples, like this sugar maple, are getting ready to. And birds are at peak migration. #seasons #autumn #fall

A prairie meadow with goldenrod and sunflowers stands out in the bottom third of the photo. Behind the flowers is a line of evergreen and a few small deciduous trees with muted autumn colors. Blue sky with several cumulus clouds can be seen at the very top of the photo.

September 1st has never felt like fall to me. Turns out, according to the ecological calendar, the sarotinal season is roughly mid-August to mid-September. The weather tends to be dryer, leaves start turning colors, and birds prepare for migration. #ForestFriday #serotinal #landscapephotography

An asphalt covered walking path runs bisects a deciduous forest. The leaves on the trees are fully green, while a few red and yellow dry leaves are scattered over the pavement.
