Artists create because they like the creation process. It's not all about speed. This is the fundamental disconnect between AI users and artists. Life is not too short to worry about ethics, life is too short to spend it worrying about throughput.

That's… not at all the same thing. If a circular saw fails, the carpenter still knows how to use a hand saw. If a vehicle breaks down, the person can use public transport or walk. If an AI image generator site goes down, what does the user do?

That's literally not the point I was making but okay, guess you read as far as "go to the location" and stopped there. I was in fact making a point about the difference between auto focus and AI, how advanced photography takes skill and knowledge.

AI requires you to type in variants of "Paris skyline at sunset" on your phone from the toilet ungodly numbers of times until you get something passable.

Using auto focus on a camera requires you, the human, to go to the location of your shot, get the right time of day for the lighting, set up the people or objects you want in the picture, line up the shot, consider framing, contrast, colours and subject.

For what it's worth, I do really love your landscapes. A lot of it has inspired my homebrew world, the dark and light always play together beautifully. People feeding your art into AI is disgusting behaviour and I am so sorry it happened. I fully respect your decision but know that I will miss

The worst part is that it's so clear they know it's wrong. They know nobody wants to see it. If they didn't, they'd have no problem marking it as made with AI. No. Instead, that labelling tool is used to harass artists. The slop is snuck in under our damn noses like a dog turd in a chocolate box.+

Any time I see talk of alternatives to a certain book series about a magical school I'm so sad that nobody ever talks about Jenny Nimmo's "Children of the Red King" series. Everyone should at least read "Midnight For Charlie Bone", if it's not for you then sure. But it's one of my favourites ever
