Finished my Columbia Gorge Naturalist Field Course yesterday. I’m so grateful for the experience & knowledge imparted! My capstone was on edible 🍂 mushrooms in the area. I blacked out & have no idea what I said. My fellow naturalists said I should teach a class, so it must not have been too bad 😂

I just looked at my #garden plans & dang, I’ve got a lot of 🧅 Garlic/garlic chives already out. A mystery allium (2nd pic.) Started chives, shallot, & onion inside! I’m also adding more greens & cabbage this year, in addition to my usual veg. What are you going to grow? #mygarden #growfood

When in doubt, fruit study. Unearthed some ooold (older than me) oil pastels. Trying to not lose my mind while stuck at home. Plus, practicing low stakes creativity is something I’ve been lacking. The constraints of not being able to focus on details is good in this case. 😄👍 #art #artpractice

The stars aligned and I was able to print out some fresh greeting cards! I’ve been running low on this one. Sometimes I imagine what it would be like to not feel like I’m in a depressed burnout state nearly single day. I would make all the art that’s stuck in my head! I need to go on a hike. 😅🥲

Photoshop didn't crash, printer didn't smear the ink, the proofing went well first try. Sounds simple, right? Especially if you've done a task a thousand times before. I swear, if a printer or cricut machine is involved in your process you know what I'm talking about. Epson updates its software every other day.

Taking a stab at pressing some ferns. I was pruning some of the old fronds back and decided to keep some of the less haggard trimmings to repurpose. Went over lightly with an iron. Now smooshing them under a heavy acrylic block with a textbook on top. Fingeys crossed they turn out!
