As crazy as it may sound: An American Tail. Specifically the “Giant Mouse of Minsk” the mice build. Just… look at this thing. I remember its animation being incredibly smooth and incongruous with the look of the rest of the movie. Maybe early computer assisted animation? It was terrifying.

Went to a preview today. Calling it the funniest movie of the year seems like faint praise, but easily in my top 5 of the year so far. Best hybrid live action animated movie since Roger Rabbit, and similar vibes only corporate conspiracy instead of murder mystery. A triumph of the human(?) spirit.
