I've been in the same boat, my physiology and cages do not agree. I did Locktober last year as a denial discipline. When my keyholder wanted me to have a physical reminder of my chastity, I had to wear a sports groin guard / box instead, which worked rather well for me. tl;dr: all approaches valid!

Splitting hairs perhaps, but s/intoxicant/disinhibitor or behaviour modifier/.. cos I fear given all intoxicants are inherently toxic to something by definition... But in the spirit of it, hell yes. I mainly use alcohol for this carefully and sparingly, but other stuff is beyond my risk tolerance.

Not sure whether to do any form of Locktober or not this year. I can't do long term device chastity, so it's usually been an exercise in denial and control with periods of physical reminder. However, my MH has been variable as heck and I travel right in the middle of it this year. Thoughts?
