These are the words we won’t hold back: a free press is not the enemy of democracy. It is one of its most important safeguards. 📰🚨
A graphic with a dusty blue background.

White text reads: Swifties For Hope believes a free and independent press is fundamental to American democracy.

We welcome the court’s decision ordering the restoration of White House press credentials to journalists from CNN, MS NOW, and POLITICO. The ruling is an important affirmation that journalists must be free to scrutinize those entrusted with public power without fear that access to government will be conditioned on favorable coverage.

The decision to revoke these journalists’ access following reporting the President publicly criticized raised serious concerns about press freedom and the ability of journalists to do their jobs without fear of retaliation. While we are encouraged that access has been restored, journalists should not have to turn to the courts simply to preserve their ability to report freely on the government.

Democracy does not require agreement. It requires the freedom to question, challenge, investigate, report, and dissent without fear or favor.

Journalists do not serve the government. They serve the public.

Swifties For Hope stands with journalists and with the enduring democratic principle that a free press must remain free to hold power accountable, regardless of who holds that power.

A free press is not the enemy of democracy. It is one of its most important safeguards.

“Since 1988, World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 to honor those who have died from the disease and reaffirm a commitment to end the epidemic that has killed more than 44 million people worldwide.

This past December, and for the first time in decades, the U.S. government did not mark the occasion. It came after the Trump administration cut funding for global HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment projects.

The United Nations now estimate global funding for HIV has dropped 40 percent in two years, and public health leaders argue decades of progress are at risk.”

Hi, I’m [NAME] and I’m a concerned constituent from [CITY,STATE].

I’m calling to urge Senator [THEIR NAME] to urge them to vote NO on any bill that continues ICE funding.

ICE has now murdered multiple Americans in broad daylight and they cannot be allowed to continue terrorizing our communities.

Looking backwards might be the only way to move forward.🦋 Today, we remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his impact on our world. We use these words as a reminder to keep fighting in any way that we can.
A dark blue graphic with a textured background. Text reads:

If you can’t fly, then RUN.
If you can’t run, then WALK.
If you can’t walk, then CRAWL.

But whatever you do, you have to keep moving FORWARD.

Today marks 13 years since 20 first graders and six educators were killed by 154 bullets fired in less than five minutes inside Sandy Hook Elementary School. Tens of thousands of Americans lose loved ones to gun violence each year. It doesn’t have to be this way 💔
A dark blue graphic with light blue text that reads:

Gun violence doesn’t belong in our communities.
