This is the best the Jayhawks have looked since the Iowa State game. If we could stay with Cryer we could win this thing. Old fashioned Big 12 rock right of a game. First time I've enjoyed this Kansas team in a while.

I just think this is a pretty different game from the one he learned. Tony Bennett and Jay Wright seemingly concluded they just didn't want to play it - I am starting to suspect Self wants to do it but his skills are not as elite in this version of college basketball.

It's hard not to look at Self, the talent is obviously there. How much has NIL changed the game? Hard to know how the chemistry inside the locker room has changed but I could believe the old methods might hit different these days

Outside my usual ambit but I just couldn't be happier for Madison Keys. Eight years waiting for her second major final yet she looked like more like the two-time defending champion than Sabalenka. That's an intimidating competitor, and what an incredible performance to bring home the championship.
